Well this can good for us, Paul can no longer use leaving the clippers as leverage for them to get Howard. Now they know Paul is happy with the team and content with Griffen being the second star, leaving them less interested in getting Howard hopefully.
Is Rivers really that good of a coach? Without adding another All-Star, are the Clips really going to improve that much? But then again, with the Spurs aging, and the Lakers a train wreck, the Clips might just be the second best team in the West.
Rivers is highly overrated. If the rockets can get Howard we will have a better squad. In fact talent wise we should be as good as anyone.
Well no matter what he could do, he can't use leaving the team as leverage for getting Howard. That was my point.
Well, you called it in the other thread. At least you still have a chance with Gretzky's daughter
My concern with Rivers calling all the shots is that he will be fine trading Griffin for Howard and the Ckippers and the Lakers will complete a sign and trade for Paul to be happy. In fact, I'm willing to bet that this is what Howard will choose. So long Howard!
Remember Broussard was the one who said Paul has been constantly texting Dwight about playing together. Broussard got the Dwight wrong, we now know the Dwight is actually Doc Rivers.
I didn't expect CP3 to leave LA, but I have to say this - he must be content with multiple second round exits, which that team is currently built to have. Oh well, I would be excited as hell even if only get Dwight. We'll see what happens.
Couldn't have said it any better. My first thought was, unless they get a steal in the draft, I don't see them making it out of the West. I guess Paul thinks Rivers will actually make that big a difference.
