I really think this guy is ready for NBA minutes. He was the most solid rookie, then got too nervous in his first NBA minutes. I think he passed on some shots, bricked a 3, then passed it to the other team in short span. I'm starting to feel like last season, rooting for players to develop instead of win. If Beverly can get minutes, Jones should too. Our PF position needs help much more, and Jones' body is NBA ready. I truly believe he is ready to contribute as a "Josh Smith light". I'm really hoping Morey is just trying to hide him from other teams until past the trade deadline, because it's the closest thinng to making sense. I do acknowledge that is unlikely.
Looks like he's playing point forward at times. That righty high off the glass is pretty impressive. Can't wait till he's ready
This video just makes me sad, there's no coordination within the organisation at all. Are we deliberately trying to develop tweener forwards? I see no reason why Jones should be playing so much from the perimeter like a point forward. How's he going to improve his post-play, boxing-out and positioning for rebounding?
