I love AJ and it pains me to see him entering his twilight while the ****ty texans wasted his prime.

4 reasons to move AJ to the slot,

    1. he doesn't have that explosive speed to beat safety coverage anymore. he wasn't a deep threat this year and i don't see that changing.

    2. even if he still had the deep threat speed, he doesn't have a qb that can get him the ball. i don't count the thin air at denver, that was an exception not the rule.

    3. this allows him to extend his career and still be a big part of our offense.

    4. you just upgraded your current slot receiver position.

You can't put AJ in one place it just makes it easier for the defense to double team him and take him out of the play. That's why he is moved around like he is so the defense has to locate him in order to double team him.

AJ is not a problem for our team, why are you even worrying about him?

I say cut him or trade him in a season or 2 cause Watt and Cushing is more important pieces to the puzzle now then a declining wr. They need all the cap space to resign to 2.

HELLO!!!!, i just gave you 4 reasons!!!

One of the reasons wasn't on him, it's our noodle arm QB who can't hit him deep. To me AJ could be a great possession receiver like a Cris Carter. If you scheme it right he could get SS/LB match ups. He would kill those guys on the short crosses.

Of course this doesn't work if you don't find a big time WR #1.

No just get a fast WR or TE to complement him, though I'm happy with Graham and Daniels.

Probably time to let Walter go.

And if LeStar, Posey, and Keyshawn can't contribute, cut them.

We do have cap space I think. Wonder if we can make a run for Bowe or Greg Jennings

you are making my point. all yards no scores so i'm saying put AJ against better match ups and he'll be even better and might score more often in the redzone if he was covered by a S or LB. MATCHUPS BABY, MATCHUPS!!!

Slot guys are typical your quick smallish DB's.... Andre is big, fast, and physical.... You clearly know the difference I assume

cris carter was one of the best slots ever, he's 6'3 just like Dre. If you don't like the word slot then fine call it whatever you want because I'm talking about putting 'Dre in better matchups. in motion and from the slot position he has tons of route trees. almost like a non-blocking TE.

i actually agree with this. if you don't find a deep threat who attacks the ball at its highest point and has great hands then AJ as a possession guy doesn't work.

how awesome would someone like torrey smith be with AJ on the same WR group. we would have a torrey smith/anquan bolden partnership which right now we cleary don't have.

Absolutely. A speedster to take the top off the defense would be an awesome complement to Dre.

Daniels and Graham can take care of the underneath stuff.

Andre can still run. Hell on all the deep routes he has to wait for the ball like its a punt because Schaub arm is so weak.
