I think the main cause of the Rockets' continually stagnant offense is that there are NO shooters aside from the guy who's doing the penetrating (Stevie) to spread the floor on a consistent basis. What about Pat Garrity in Orlando? I loved the Posey-Thomas swap, but I still think that if Glen Rice is going to be as inconsistently healthy and effective as he has been, then the Rockets still are a move away from cracking the Western elite. Any thoughts?
The Rockets have good shooters. Cuttino, Taylor, Griffin, Francis, even Morris can shoot well from the outside. In fact they seem better outside players than inside players. We need more guys like Posey!
Take griffin off your list because he is streaky. Morris is coming around whenever he can get the ball away from Stevie or Mobley, Actually Posey who doesnt have the nicest shot is smart and taking that medium range jumper.
The last thing we need is a power forward like Garrity. Don't we already have enough finesse players?
Whatever became of the new Bull, Dan Langhi? Oh, yeah, he's wasting away in the desert sun. Actually, I think Garrity would be a good fit -- but there is no matching deal. MoT for PG and their clunky center? The money might work but Pat Wms ain't no dummy. Just silly.
