So where's Howard going the Magic aren't keeping him-y'all are funny
Orlando needs leverage now they were using Brooklyn as their pawn
    "scare tactic" morey didn't budge
It'll happen and it won't be at the trade deadline when the offer will be half ass
Straight flush-we will show the other 3 cards when they want to talk again
Every day is something new ORL. Is just as bad as T-Mac and Dwight I guess
    they learned from their organization

Orlando isn't sending Dwight here. At least not until they feel out all possible offers, which will likely be around the All-Star break. The only way he gets dealt now is if they get an offer they can't refuse.

Personally, I'd rather get Bynum than Dwight the Diva.

It could be true but I think it's FAR more likely that story was leaked to apply pressure on the Magic. If Bynum & Houston were to happen, it would make a suitable Orlando trade even less likely as it would remove one more partner to compete with which would lessen Orlando's position in the negotiations(if they absolutely have to trade Dwight).

...I really believe Dwight will sign pretty much anywhere he is dealt - the difference in money is too great to ignore. The lone exception is Orlando. They continue to squander opportunities to show they are serious about changing their culture of poor management. Their new seriously green GM being thrown to the wolves a week after being on the job is just another example of that. The question is, if Orlando decided to take their chances and keep him and Dwight does leave Orlando, where does he go? Atlanta & LA are two obvious destinations. I suppose Houston would be a darkhorse too but the options are pretty limited for Dwight. Dwight is going to have to except that LA, Houston, and Atlanta - the 3 teams trying to trade for him, are the best destinations of his options if he really does walk from Orlando.

Serious question - what changes then? What offers would be available then that are not available now? Dwight is arguably the 3rd best player in basketball when healthy. They will lose out on talent on any trade outside of a trade for Lebron or Durant. With that in mind, if Orlando isn't good enough now and they are over the cap, what good is trading for someone on talent? They will just be a poor man's Orlando Magic at best if they take Bynum for Dwight or Horford/Teague.

...they have to find a trade partner who has talent AND can take back a bad contract. That limits the market and that's where I say the hands have already been shown for those teams. Nothing is going to change come All Star break because most teams don't have the ability to take on contracts and that is not likely to change in the near future.

Lots of things change over the course of a season. Teams that believe they'll be in contention now become sellers at the deadline. The Magic are going to lose out on talent anyway, that is a given, but they don't have to settle for the bag of crap the Rockets can offer now. Dwight isn't going to Brooklyn and he'll realize that over a few months and be open to other options. Orlando has no incentive to trade him now other than Dwight wants a trade to Brooklyn. Too bad for him he's not going to get his wish.

Also, most importantly, Orlando is best off waiting to see how the Rockets picks will pan out rather than trading for a bunch of unknown talents and unknown picks right now. There are just too many question marks surrounding everything the Rockets have to offer. Better to trade Dwight for proven commodities than speculative assets. That's my take.
