More ammo for tomorrow night. Interesting.

Martin is a prime amnesty candidate if we don't find a deal for him tomorrow I think.

We still need to get rid of Martin's contract if we want to swing for the fences, right?

Houston has also included the rights to Israeli Lior Eliyahu in the deal to Minnesota, a source said.

The Rockets own the 14th, 16th and 18th picks in Thursday's draft. They want to make an offer that Orlando can't refuse for Dwight Howard.

Minnesota has agreed to trade the 18th overall pick in Thursday's draft to Houston for Chase Budinger, league sources tell Y! Sports.

Great trade for both teams. Martin could still be very useful if they aquire a dominant big man in the coming days. Chase will really thrive in Minny. Good for Chase, and the Rockets.

I have been saying that for nearly 2 years, that I think they might amnesty him......would be weird, but he does nothing for this team now.

And good luck to Chase, he really was a true professional, produced no matter what role, sixth man, starter whatever.....good rebounder, average defender, and good shooter.....

    I wish him well.

Surely someone else is involved. Because I can't imagine for a second that Budinger's worth a 1st round pick. Not unless Minnesota's clearing capspace for someone.

14th+16th+18th+ppat= toronto's 8th pick, especially if some of the players targeted by the toronto boshes are still available, which they probably will.

True. But Gasol and Dwight play the same position, the deep post. It's just not going to happen. If we get Dwight and DWill, we're looking at keeping Goran to play the 2 or we're looking to turn Goran into another premier SG through S&T.

Here's a crazy thought. How about using those picks(or higher picks acquired via additional moves) to actually build through the draft? They were shrewd enough to draft Bud with a 2nd round pick which eventually turned into the 18th pick in the first round this year. Why can't they utilize these first rounders and load up on young talent?
