This sucks, very likeable guy, but I trust in our GM. They hopefully know what they're doing.

Texans will either put Butler at RT or draft someone in the 3rd or 4th rd. Trust me you wont know he's gone. Kubiak system will always have good O-Linemen

Remember guys, this is just the first move that's being reported. For all we know, guys like Jacoby and Leinart are already packing their bags. Let's be patient and let this play out.

This was a huge shock. How anyone can get cut before Jacoby is baffling.

They're in even worse cap hell than us. No way. He'll good a good check from someone, though.

Kareem Jackson only makes about a million a year...he is well worth it.

Our #1 priority in the draft is now RT.

Now that I'm over the initial shock of it, saving 6 million is a smart move. Hopefully Butler stays healthy.

    Redskins? Raiders(probably not) Dolphins?

Off-topic: FWIW from Barry Warner, who says he talked to Dreessen and Dreessen said he hasn't heard a peep from the Texans. I guess understandably so, trying to take care of Myers and/or Mario first.

There has been talk that they view Derek Newton as someone with the tools to be a starter...

I guess we will all see about that

I'm not a football guru, but one can only imagine that there is something else in the works. I don't think you cut a guy like Winston without cutting some of the other dead weight we have on this team. The cap is one thing, but I can't see them making this move unless it sets up something else.

Myers will be resigned, but I wonder where this puts us with Mario. I've seen Tweets about Wallace as well. At this point, Smith must be fixing to cut a few others as well.

A real shocker - Winston's been one of my favorite players ,...very good run blocker.. That said, he was making 6.5 mil. and had real problems in the passing game last year.

I can't imagine they'll go to war with anything less than what they have + a 2nd rounder/trade/free agent at RT. They have a plan.

Time to get Mario locked up.

Offensive line is one position I won't argue with this FO about. Kubiak et al know what they need on the o-line. If they think Newton/Butler can fill in as their RT and be fine, I'll trust them.
