As we all can see jordan hill is just not cutting it even as a backup we cant rely on him for even 2 minutes as he gives up so many points in the paint and cant defend if his life depended on it . So why not sign Chris Kaman hes regarded as excess in New orleans and they are shopping and think we should try to get him for cheap if we can , what do you guys think ?

    No no and no.
14 Million dollars as a backup center? I'll pass. His contract is expiring though.

Why wouldn't you want a 14 mil expiring contract?

If we really want the cap space, Kevin Martin and Kaman make roughly the same amount, just that Kevin's 1 year longer. Hornets will laugh if we offer a package of our 2009 draft players.

Because you'd need to give up $9 million + worth of contracts to get him.

Thabeet + Flynn + Adrien could get it done - but is that all NO would want?
Surely they'd be able to get more than simply $5mill in savings from him?

I would totally take Kaman as a rental if the price is right. I would give up all the '09ers for him if the Hornets will take it.

The thing is, why would they want any of them? Especially Thabeet who makes the most, they have a glut of centers already, which is why Kaman is on the trade block.

We're somehow gonna fool Stern in thinking TWill and Flynn have promise to take a flyer on them when they can't sniff our rotation or their prior teams'? JHill is in the same boat as Thabeet, Hornets don't need scrubby bigs.

We might have to include Budinger in the package, or a pick of some kind. Depends on what NO is asking for I guess.

Knowing Stern, he'll want Lowry thrown in the deal and try to pawn off some of their garbage players.
