What program to use for mkv editing?

    Since we might not get to watch NBA basketball for quite some time I was thinking about maybe breaking down some film on some the free agent centers.

    Can someone perhaps recommend me a free software for video editing of mkv files?

    Doesn't have to be anything fancy. The one I thought about using for whatever reason more or less kills the quality (url]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QcXygEXKOQ&hd=1[[/url])
