from the bench, Wade rolls onto the floor, stays there 10 minutes and draws flagarant fouls on all of our players. Heat win 110-107.

    Hmm. Penguins are playing there.

They were rumoured to be moving there before an arena was built.

They have to plan for a preseason as if there will be no lockout. They can't be scrambling for a schedule if/when things finally do get settled. The NFL came out with schedules on the regular date even though they knew a lockout was imminent.

    In other news:

Pat Riley has petitioned the league to go to a new three quarter format.

In MO? What a strange place to play at. I wonder if other teams are doing the same in different small market cities in order to build fanbase for the NBA. That seems cool. Could be like scouting where the next Oklahoma City is at to have in reference when one of the California teams roots up and leave.

KC already has a beautiful new arena and Stern has said it would be a top candidate for a franchise.

They already have tons of bball fans with Kansas/Mizzou alum everywhere.

Do you live there? I always wonder what the reaction from cities with big college influences if they would even care. Living in Austin the answer is a definitive, "Hell NO we only need burnt orange to survive." I guess since Austin has the proximity to close enough teams it doesn't really affect them.

Living in Reno where the closest thing we have to professional sports is University of Reno & the Aces (minor league MLB farm team), I'd give a big "Hell YEAH!" to an NBA team. Just hope it wouldn't come from Utah...

It's a nice arena and all, but Kansas City is too saturated a market as it is. I don't think they can support the NBA. Different than OKC, where it is a one sports team town.

I was living in KC when the Kings left, and was stuck with the UMKC Kangaroos for my fix. KC is a great town, sort of a cultural oasis in the midwest. I hope they get an NBA franchise up there.
