Jordan had to go through Ewing and the Knicks (numerous times), Miller and the Pacers, and The Bad Boys' Pistons during his time with the Bulls. THEN defeated 2 of the 3 Western Conference teams you mentioned in the finals. Give credit where credit is due, bro.

I love the idea of a 16 team Playoff without boundaries.

But like in all the other sports, David Stern would never allow it because it makes him (NBA) lose a few hundred million.

It would be so much more benefical, we'd get the playoff seed we deserve, and the weaker teams would get the better dratf picks they need. If it works out the same it would on paper, everything would balance itself out after a couple of years.

I agree Memphis and New Orleans definitely shouldn't even be included in the western conference. The cities are both almost as far east as Chicago

I draw the western boundary at the Mississippi, so I think they're fine.

It just means the Celtics and Bulls get easy sacrificial lambs to slaughter. I am not complaining as long as the Lakers dont get an easy team. Although we are better than those bottom playoff rung East teams.

Well doing that leaves 2/3rd's of the rest of the country in the West. It's just not an equal boundary.
