    Nearly?

ok, The Rockets nearly beat the champions Lakers last year forcing the series to game 7.

But nearly is not good enough.

That offer was garbage, surprised Hornets considered all that crap.. We can offer way more than those garbage guys!

Aaron Brooks (near allstar young PG) + Chase Budinger + NY Pick swap + Future first + Hill

    Paul is a game changer.

Are you kidding me. If that deal had gone done, Hornets fans would have been calling for the heads of their management.

I thought the Blazers already traded Joel Przybilla.

It's a risk to take Paul. He might just go to NY with Camero after his contract is up in 2012.

That would be unstoppable, only if the shooters are consistent. Imo

    1. That would never happen. Yao is going to retire a Rocket if Les Alexander has anything to say about it (and he does). He's too profitable for the Rockets for them to let him go willingly.

    2. Part of why they're willing to move Paul is because he's disgruntled. But Paul is disgruntled because Shinn is cheap. I don't see why they'd want to take back the salary that Yao and Martin have (even if Yao is expiring).

    3. WE DON'T NEED TO GIVE UP ANYWHERE NEAR THAT MUCH!!! Did you even look that offer over? We can send them a better package than that without giving up either Yao or Martin.

Battier & Jeffries for their expirings + Brooks, Hill, Budinger + a pick. Something along those lines.

Paul isn't coming the Houston....I think we are gonna have to draft our next legit all-star player.

I think we are getting iso-ed

Talk about a weird time to fire a GM.

Excluding Carmelo Anthony from the equation, why on earth would Paul want to come play for houston. The guy is a high octane guard with steve nash handles and decision making that would more than likely want to run run run and run some more.

Houston although under Adelman's system is not built to do that or accomplish it well with Yao in there. I cant see a single player Paul would think to himself he'd like to play with on our current roster. No way he's going to want to play with a bunch of second/third year pros and martin alone is not going to make him choose houston over a team like Portland that's an instant big three in Roy, Aldridge, and Paul.

For heavens sake i hope im wrong and he doesnt think similar to me because otherwise NYC seems like the place he'd love to play for along with Melo, Amare and a run and gun style of play similar to USA basketball....not to mention Mike D'antoni his mentor during the olympics a couple years back.

I agree with this.. Portland and NY are both better fits (for him) than Houston.
