So good, only 10 teams now competing in the West.

I wish lol...Billups will get the spot

This is crappy news for the Hornets but GREAT NEWS for the Rox...New Orleans, Portland and Utah are all walking wounded which should mean the Rox will be right there for the final two spots.

Even if he was healthy I don't think they would have gotten in.

i think that means we can finally trade for him, now. i was envisioning something exactly like this happening. (a top-10 player going down, and Morey swooping in like a predator.)

I bet it ends up being season ending. No point to bring him back since the Hornets will be out of the race even if he's healed.

So I guess Billups will take Paul's spot in the All Star game. I'd really like to see Monta Ellis but Billups is deserving.

Hornets are out of luxury tax land now, so I'm guessing they're done dealing and wouldn't even consider a Paul trade now.

Don't know if they're completely out of the race. The last time Paul went out the rest of the team stepped up and they did okay. Plus Collison had 17 points and 18 assists in their last game. He keeps that up and they'll probably be able to tread water.

Trade Brian Cook for Chris Paul. A healthy star for an injured star.

can you even trade for an injured player? and when you say the player must take a physical first is that based on the managements discrepancy or the nba's?

I think you are on the money.

The play where it happened was very unnecessary. David West lost his mind and overthrew an easy pass to CP3 at the end of regulation against the Bulls. CP3 had to really turn on the jets to save the ball and landed funny out of bounds. He finished regulation and even played the first 3 minutes of OT before sitting down. It was clear something was wrong.

That huge comeback win last night against the Grizzlies was a fluke. The Hornets have no chance to make the playoffs now. Collison won't bring that every night.

It's easier to hold it down when you know you're best player is coming back. They don't know if he will come back and they struggled with Paul so I doubt they will get better with him now out for this long of a period.

I'd like to see Ellis or Brooks in the All-star game, but unfortunately, Billups will likely get it. Brooks has a better chance than Ellis because Houston has a better record, but Ellis is the slightly better player.
