The Rockets, who will have to live without the services of Yao Ming for the foreseeable future, are said to be interested in trading for Chris Bosh this summer, or signing him next year after he becomes a free agent.
Bosh is from Texas and could fill the void left by Yao's latest foot injury, which could end his career. Instead of having three all-stars this season, the Rockets may have none. Ron Artest is a free agent and the Rockets aren't prepared to match his asking price, Tracy McGrady has one year left on his deal and the Rockets are actively trying to lose him, while Yao's career could be over.

Why does everyone assume, that just because Bosh is from Texas, that he would want to come to Houston?

the fact that he is a texan means that there is a better shot he wants to sign with us then lebron or wade, so that qualifies as news.

If we could get Bosh, that gives us a better shot at signing Lebron. Since they are such good friends and reported multiple times want to play together.

    But it won't happen.

Chris Bosh seems like a pipedream... But hell, if we could somehow make that happen, I'd be all about it.

i thought it wasent confirmed yet, that it was only a possibility, also heard rumors that yao wasent strict with doctor orders of wearing the boot and may be the reason for the lack of recovery.

These sites like Rotoworld and hoopshype and all the others are a joke. Justice writes a freakin column day-dreaming about Bosh and all of a sudden it turns into this big hot-topic.

Why wouldn't we be interested in Bosh? Might as well throw in Chris Paul and Lebron.

Sign and trade Artest + Landry + Lowry for Bosh

Raptors just may do it considering they could lose Bosh for nothing next summer. I might even be willing to change Lowry for Brooks or Landry for Scola if need be.

Hope Tmac comes back. Hope Yao comes back one day. Let Wafer walk. Trade for or sign another serviceable PG and Center.

    Brooks/Barry
    Taylor/White
    Battier/Buddinger
    Scola/Dorsey
    Bosh/Hayes

That roster should be competitive and remain above .500 until Tmac comes back around December or January (if things go well). Hopefully Yao can be healed and he comes ready by March.

Too much wishing and hoping with the uncertainty of Mcgrady and Yao though. Ugh

Can anybody post a remotely plausible scenario for Bosch coming to Houston ?
Something the Raps would consider, that wouldn't cost 10 million in luxury money and wouldn't trade our 1 best asset for a 1 year rental?

By the way, Chris is from Dallas and still ranks as the #1 best player I ever saw in Texas High School playoffs. ( I started going the year after Shaq)

is this really a news flash?
In light of Yao's problems, they'd be stupid not to be interested in Bosh, or any other big man that can score and rebound with some consistency.

You'd think Bosh would jump at a chance to come to Texas. Not just because this is where he's from, but imagine the jump in take home pay he'd get. Going from Canadian taxes to no state income tax? That has to be a pretty significant chunk of change.

He plays for the Raptors. Despite the Raptors logo being a dinosaur raptors are actually birds. Some birds migrate. They migrate home. Bosh's home is Texas. [/Jeff Goldblum]
