I know there is going to be a huge temptation on the part of the Rockets to come out and match the dirty play of the Lakers. I know there is a huge temptation by the fans to razz the Lakers at Toyota Center. I trust that Adelman will keep the team focussed on winning rather than getting even and for the fans stay classy but show them what a homecourt advantage is.

Victory is the best revenge so lets show the Lakers that their dirty tricks and mind games aren't gonna phase us.

    GO ROCKETS! BEAT LA!

I agree. I'd rather win the game than win a fight with the lakers. I'm hoping the rockets (especially artest) can keep their cool when the lakers start playing dirty again even if the refs let them get away with it.

    Good post.

BTW - anyone ready the heralding of the ruff'n'tuff NBA? When basketball became secondary and the Mahorns and Laimbeers and Masons walked the hardwood? It was when an inferior Celtics finals team, '84, starting cheapshotting the Lakes, took'm outta their game and stole the championship from them.

Is this Jackson's redux?

Agree, but at the same time, it is hard to win fair and square when your opponent will do anything once they feel they are in a hole.

    I agree wholeheartedly.

Kobe's quick to point out that nobody can stop him from scoring.

But we can stop him from advancing in the playoffs.

Kobe is nothing without Pau Gasol. Before they swindled the grizzlies into parting with Gasol for Kwame Brown, Kobe couldn't even get past Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns at the time.

If we can somehow contain Pau Gasol, History shows Kobe cannot carry a team by himself in the playoffs.

Hopefully , Yao or whoever is guarding him does a better job on Gasol. DEFENSE wins championships!!! Go Rockets!!!

Yep unfortunately the refs are going to give the Lakers a pass on a lot of what they do. That's why its even more important the Rockets take the high road. The last thing the Rox need is suspensions.

    GO ROX!

We've played clean, hard, tough ball all year long. I don't expect anything different.

I really hope that we will be able to hold Home Court and get these 2 wins. I myself Dont fear Kobe's play or Pau's, I am more afraid of Lamar Odom, he has always created a problem for the rockets with his ability to go inside and out and he has yet to have a good game. If we continue to keep him out of rythym then we should be ok.

I know we can win in LA, but I disagree. We need to take the first game on our home court. Sure, the Fakers and their fans don't think that was a requirement for them to win the series, at least that's what they're telling themselves (tell that to all the Portland fans, chumps!), but my opinion is that tonight is a must win. We can possibly lose one of the other games, although that's a road I'd rather not get on, but we must win tonight.

    can???

Unless you can guarantee we're going to win in LA, tonight is a must win.
