I actually like it when Hubie is commenting on the game. Very objective and isn't so one-sided.

    GO ROCKETS!!!

This is another great test with the playoffs looming around the corner and the race for position getting more intense as the games left in the season dwindle. Hopefully the team can pull out a victory.

let kobe shoot, shoot, shoot. he's been doing a ton of that lately and the lakers are losing b/c of it. kobe still hasn't learned what lebron has already learned.

That is true. Usually when Kobe scores less points and takes less shots Lakers are MUCH BETTER. They even seem to lose more games when Kobe has 30+ games.

So yeah, that may be a good idea.

And I agree that LeBron is more unselfish than Kobe. Obviously, Kobe is a better player overall but sometimes he just shows the signs of the old Kobe who used to score 60 a game and as I said, it usually doesn't give LA wins.

They have been struggling lately. It is a good time to face them. Should be an interesting game.

Give Wafer some more minutes, hes been averaging like 22 points against the Lakers.

Rox can win only if they fight like a team and no one thinks he is the hero.
Don't shoot 3 if you are not a real shooter!
Penetrate the lakers or pass the ball to yao in the 4 quarter.

You better pray that he's not on fire tonight, otherwise we're gonna lose because of his shooting touch. We should let him shoot the tough jumpers instead of the easy ones.

how the f can we ever beat the Lakers? How? Everything we do poorly in, they do well in. If we get a big lead, Kobe will lead them back with a crazy comeback. Lakers are great at comebacks, Rockets are great at choking. IF they get off to a big lead , then Kobe and company will just make it a ft shooting clinic and they will suck the refs into a trap. This is a team who we are not ready to compete with, at least not this yr. Doesn't matter if we had a healthy Mac or Carl, we aren't in their league.

The difference between this game and the last time we played LA will be Battier's offensive performance. He will do a great job (as always) of challenging Kobe, but unlike last time, he will hopefully continue hitting shots and putting up points. As long as Yao stays out of foul trouble (our achillies heel) and Battier hits his 3's, I dont see why we cant take one from the Lakers.

If we play smart, rebound and focus on defense for 48 mins we can steal this one. But it's rare that we do all that on consistent basis. Just hoping for a kobe off night.

We need Kobe to have an off night, but he's been off lately. His last 4 games he shot 5-19, 7-19, 11-28, 10-19 for 38.8% on 85 shots. If Ron sticks to the gameplan, he and Shane can force Darth Mamba into bad shots and keep his percentage low.

Defensive rebounding will be key for us. If we let them kill us on the boards and get a ton of second chance points, we will lose. We also need to play smart offensively. Let Yao pick them apart and take smart shots and open 3's. If Ron and Aaron go off the range, or Barry and Wafer turn it over off the bench, we're going to have a hard time winning.

I really want to be wrong about this, but I'll call it a Laker win 98-92.

While the outlook isn't good, its not that hopeless, we did manage to cream them last year during the streak. A lot of things would have to swing our way for us to win, but were certainly as capable anyone in the league to compete with them.

We will probably drop from 4th to 6th seed if we don't win tonight. Portland and NO have easy games against Thunder and the Warriors. Glad we've clinched our playoff spot because who winds up in the 2-7 seed is going to be anybody's guess.
