Would Mobley accept a sing and trade?

All concensus is that Mobley will be offered the million and millions of dollars he imagines. The Rocks are in a bind and can only offer Mobley a certain amount.

Now, will any other team offer Mobley 5+ million. Well if by the recent singing as seen by us in previous seasons, Mobley might get that money.

But, don't forget these teams are business men and they don't necessarily like giving up the money. Could Mobley think he is overpriced.

I doubt it. All year long I've said Mobley is key for the Rockets to winning. If he wants the money he likely will get it.

Now will Mobley accept a sign and trade to help benefit the Rockets?

Will someone get Mobley for a "song"...

I have no sources to base this on except Mobley's word...he wants to stay with Francis. There is little incentive for him to leave. He's simply not going to be allowed to play Two Shakes on many other teams. Especially the ones with star SGs and/or SFs who already demand the ISO role.

For him to get most value out of his career, he should definitely stay with Francis.

Question is: Does he take the Early Bird for $8.5m over two years (counting the 12.5% raise) and hurt the Rockets 2001 free agent cap room, or does he do the grandest of all loyalty gestures and

    1. take a Middle Class for one year,
    2. allow the Rockets to renounce him in 2001 down to $0, then
    3. Wait for the Rockets to sign Webber after Aug 1st
    4. Then re-sign with the Rockets for BIG MONEY after Webber is locked away
    5. Same goes for SA, he lets us renounce him too, to clear room for Webber. Then sign his Big Bird afterwards
