This scene really takes the cake. They made an entire (really bad) horror movie just to throw in the twist with this scene, and in my opinion this single scene is the reason that series has endured so long. Without it of course there is no Jason at all, but also no one would ever remember the movie. It had nothing at all to do with the rest of the plot, and there was absolutely no way you could predict it. None of my friends knew about it, or if they did they didn't tell me, and we all were jumping off the couch when it happened, because the entire movie to that point had been a big waste of time. Kevin Bacon's penis killed everyone.
Game 6. Rockets vs. Jazz. 1996. When John Stockton releases the ball- at about halfway on its way towards the basket, the crapping began because I saw it going in all the way. Game 5, Rockets vs. Suns, 1995. Wesley Person shoots the 3-pointer- same thing- it looks perfect, then the ball rattles in and out, so the crap went back up before any harm was done, thank God. Oh, we're talking movies and shows? OK: 1. The Thing- the thing crawling on the floor. 2. Unknown movie- the lady gets a pair of binoculars as a present- when she adjusts the wheels to get a better view, two knives shoot out into her eye sockets. 3. The Exorcist- the spider walk. 4. Last House on the Left- when they catch the girl in the forest right before she's about to go on the highway. 5. Howard the Duck- scary acting. 6. The Shining- Jack with the axe on Scatman. 7. Creepshow- cockroaches. 8. The movie with Dolly Parton in which Sylvester Stallone sings. 9. The Hills Have Eyes- several, can't remember the specific scenes. 10. The X Files- same, particularly the ones from Season 4. 11. Psycho- the shower scene- just the split second you can see his/her eyes. 12. The Godfather- Sonny in the crossfire. 13. The Chicago White Sox Championship Season (on a similar note, as an Astros fan, every time I hear "Don't Stop Believin' from Journey, I get ill). 14. Wait Until Dark 15. All those Halloween, Friday the 13th, Elm Street movies with the "jump out" scenes. 16. Misery- hobbling 17. Wizard of Oz- wicked witch. 18. The Little Rascals- the one where they go into the haunted house. 19. Apocalypse Now- the beheading. 20. Blair Witch Project- the camera work (although I do think the movie was very good).
This traumatized me. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/6nwNPaYoTY8&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/6nwNPaYoTY8&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

I always thought that Dumbo scene was kind of scary too. What really creeped me out where these Bible cartoons that my parents got for me. They were called "Greatest Adventures of The Bible" and I think Hanna-Barbera animated them. It was like 3 missionary kids who travel back in time for some odd reason, and are alive in the time all these epic Bible stories are happening. Well there is this one scene in "Daniel and the Lion's Den" where the actual Hand of God appears and is writing on the wall while this creepy music is being played. It freaked me out more than anything. I would always leave the room or hide and plug my ears when it came on. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/L6othdka3FE&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/L6othdka3FE&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Starts about 45 seconds in. I swear as a 5 year old kid, nothing was more frightening.
In real life, the guy had to pretend that he was dead after being stabbed 6 times in the back while his girlfriend was murdered next to him. Sucks.
For some reason The Blair Witch Project scared the crap out of me. Definitely didn't sleep the night after watching that movie. Also, I know this isn't a movie, but every time I watched Unsolved Mysteries I was little creeped out. I think it was mainly because they were "supposedly" actual events. The music and host also made that show 20x more scary.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: The ants. That was like the scariest scene among all Indiana Jones movies.
Always loved the Alien movies. The one that scarred me for life would have to be Kujo, the movie about the big ar$ed dog. I think I must have been about 3 or 4 when I saw it and it has made me terrified of any medium to large sized dog for my entire life! The worst thing was, when I was a kid the people that lived over the back of us had two large dogs, one being a St Bernard. One day I was about 7 or 8, I walked out the back yard and this great horse of a dog was standing there.....you can imagine how terrified I was. I think I was back in the house before the dog even knew I was there!

You are not alone my friend. This show was always on when I was growing up around age 11-14 or so I'm 25 now. The music and the host (his looks, his voice, his clothes) everything about him scared the living $HIT OUT of me. I'd literally be scared at night. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/6gZ3Lv09tM4&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/6gZ3Lv09tM4&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
