First of all, my son and I had a great time at the game last night, and are proud to be Rowdy Roadies…or is it Roadie Rowdies??? Anyhow, what an impressive showing, from the pregame parade around the concourse, in game chatter, and the post game march out of there. I honestly don’t know how I have a voice this morning. I recorded the game and my son and I are watching it now trying to listen for the Rowdies and to get a better view of some of those phantom traveling, and other terrible calls.

On our drive back to Round Rock, we tuned in to 1200 WOAI to listen to the post game, and caught about the last 20-25 minutes (after the game recap I guess), and the host kept harping on how disgusting it was that there were so many Rockets fans at the game and how the “group up top” could be heard over the Spurs fans like it was a Rockets home game. Said it was a playoff type atmosphere and was trying to figure out how so many Rockets fans were able to get tickets. To follow up that, every caller into the show had something to say about our parading around the arena, and how they were embarrassed by their own fans because they were out gamed by the Rowdies. Needless to say we left a big impression on Spur fan in general.

On the way home, we continued all the in game chants. Despite the non-win, we had a great time, and I thank yall for giving my son and I that memory. Thanks to Hicklander for providing the tickets, and to the organizers of the road trip…if yall go to Dallas, I will have to look at driving to Houston just to make the road trip to Dallas.

Yao Miiiing Yao Ming Yao Ming Yao Ming, Yao Miiiing, Yao Miiiing!

    Thanks for Sola

    …and the rest

    Thanks!

I think i met you, were you the one that followed us after the game? If it was you, you were telling your son "let's follow them!". Your son had a white Tmac jersey, maybe like 8-10 years-old? If you remember anybody, I was the guy in the Bonzi home jersey wearing the warmup jacket from last year.

I just got back from San Antonio. Despite the sadness I feel for losing it was a lot of fun. There was a lady spurs fan at the bottom of our section that tried to rally nearby fans to counter our noise to no avail. After the game, as we left the section her party gave us high fives and said they were impressed with our enthusiasm.

Curly don't forget the chant on the way out the arena after the game:

YOU GOT TO CHEAT TO BEAT THE ROCKETS!

On the way down the escalator even Rockets fans who weren't in the group joined in, spurs fans tried to drown us out but couldn't.

No, but here's a link from Coach Pop's interview...about 1:30 he talks about Scola and how he can't stand that he is on our team.

    Pop's Thoughts on Scola

"I cheered the whole freaking game! Those Houston fans pissed me off so bad I wanted to drown them out... and it sounded like Stan Kelly wanted to drown them out also, that was the loudest I have ever heard him sound... "

Some quotes from Spurs fan forums:

"There was a bus of rocket fans who came in by bus. When they entered the ATT and started to walk around the building cheering and yelling. They must have bought a block of tickets in the high, high nose bleed upper deck. You could hear them most of the game yelling. No doubt that they floated the Kegs in the bus on the way over.

I hope they enjoyed the game and the bus trip back to that hell hole they live at."

as i posted in the other thread, on the way there, our bus ran out of gas right when we got to Sealy, we had a stop over at a gas station, filled up again, and was up and running.

We got to the Alamo at around 3ish, did a romp on the way to the Alamo, then security said we can't make any noises at the Alamo itself. It was funny, Chrislord, head rowdy, took a video camera shot of us just pretending to scream and jumping up and down, felt like i was doing a movie, heh.

Went over to Riverwalk, ate at Lonestar cafe for a few hours, then headed to the arena. Got to the arena, went into the stadium LOUDLY, went to Wil Call to get our tickets, did our romp, and LES ALEXANDER all of a sudden just pops in and joins us. Definitely awesome!!! He was nice enough to take pics with a few of us. Went on to the arena, walked around the first floor, then got to our seats up top.

After the game, as stated above, we just walked out of there, and still represented our team even though we lost. One funny story, is that 2 of the rowdies were dressed up as "INS" agents, and had posters of an expired green card of Parker and Ginobilli, FUNNY FUNNY stuff, after the game, supposdley they were escorted out of the arena, and were threatened for jail time, at least what i heard.

Great time, regardless. I have more vids that I did pics, I'll try to upload a few on YouTube and post them here later.

I have to say I could hear yall yelling "Let's Go Rockets!" in the first half, but I couldn't understand you the rest of the game. I think the Spurs fans tried to drown you out after that. I could hear a mix of chants though so I knew yall were yelling.

I am glad yall had a great time. It's a shame the team couldn't pull out the victory for you.

    Next time, no doubt!

props to all the rockets fans that were at this game - i was in a section opposite from the rowdies/clutchfans, and everyone around us kept talking about 'that huge group of rockets fans' and how yall wouldn't quit!

also ran into a ton of htown ppl throughout the entire game and afterwards, helluva way to rep our team
