Remember When??? Charles Barkley to commentate Rockets Games!

I doubt it, he makes way too much money now working for TNT. He doesn't live in Houston, nor does the city of Houston likes him that much.

 

Why would JVG care if Barkley announced Rockets games?

 

if kenny smith can find time to call some knick games then chuck could find time to call the rocket games.

most rocket fans may not love him, but after listening to bullard and clyde for 82 games i'm sure the fans will learn to really appreciate having him call some games.

 

that's a pretty deceptive title...

 

I love Charles Barkley on TNT, but he's best in small doses. Like once or twice a week during pre-games, halftimes, and post-games. If I had to listen to that man an entire game, I'd go ahead and give up being a Rockets fan. He's a traveling circus.

 

What would really be awesome is if JVG joined the rockets broadcast team. Apparently he's staying in Houston. Sure it'll never happen, but just imagine the insight.

 

I'd expect him to join the ABC squad

 

Yall thinking Barkley would come commentate locally here is the equivalent of Arkansas fans thinking they were gonna land Billy Gillespie.

 

yup pretty much. he was only here for a few yrs and would have all the more reason to do it in phoenix or philly

Speaking of JVG, did you guys notice that about 4:38 left on 4th quarter on game 2 between Spurs and Jazz, after Boozer made a 2+1, JVG just said "and yao ming, dont feel so bad, it happens to the spurs too". I feel like its hilarious and a little bit touching.

 

Rockets should retire Barkley's jersey.
