JVG is a horrible coach but a lot of people dont see it yet. THis includes Les i guess. I am hopeful that there is a possibility JVG can get fired if he doesnt get the job done this year.

If the Rockets make it to the 2nd round of playoffs, the job will still be his.

If the Rockets get anything less than 47 wins or so, and put forth a horrible showing and flame out in the first round, he's likely gone.

    Although it won't be sure.

He is outcoached by Mcmilan. :(
The worst thing is we know he won't be fired by the end of the season.

JVG is JVG, a solid coach but perhaps not good enough to win anything big for you. I don't think this team is a serious contender even with T-Mac.

But the problem is, if Rox want replace JVG, who is the better coach?

I've been saying for a while that JVG isn't going to take this team anywhere (even with a fully healthy team). He just got lucky with the Knicks in the Leastern conference when they went to the finals. He gets outcoached over the course of a game way too often.

JVG should be fired and take Rafer away with him

JVG is the 30th best coach in NBA. He is totally schooled today.

Being outcoached by McMillan isn't such a bad thing because he's a good coach. But that doesn't excuse the sorry effort tonight. Our offense was basic playground. Just throw it in to Yao and let him work. Nobody else showed up except for Luther.

JVG's job is on the line this year. If we don't do well, he's gone. Injuries will be no excuse this time.

If we still can't get out of first round this year, JVG has to go.

Normally a JVG basher, but tonight I have to say the players failed him this time.

If you missed it, Gundy made one brilliant move near the end of the 3rd quarter. He inserted Yao on the court with only a tick or two on the shot clock. Yao got the inbound pass and duly made a jumper. Too bad the Rockets perimeter defender allowed a Blazer scored another deuce just before the quarter ended.

This is one of those nights nearly all the players not named Yao played horribly. Not much JVG can do.

I cant help you if you cant figure out that the rockets suck under JVG. Its been 3 years, if u still support him then really nothing will change your mind. Therefore i wont even try to reason.

You cant blame it on the players. JVG makes them play 45 minutes a game every single night for one. And second, whats JVGs record without Tmac? We are real lucky how good this team is on paper.

Don't bet on it! T-mac's back might be JVG's ticket to a new contract because he will not be the focus of the team losing. Les will think we suck but JVG did all he could with what he had.

This team will go no where until they get better talent around Yao that you can count on to play and a new coach that plays more than 8 or 9 players per night.

JVG doesn't even know how to use the talent available .
His game substitution is so poor
He can't see that Chuch Hayes is not starting material
He can't see that Rafer takes too many wild shots with nobody in position
    to rebound them.
He should use another point guard instead of misusing Head who is not a point guard.
He expects just too much out of Yao Ming.
He can't see that Battier has serious limitations.
His game plan needs reworking by someone that knows basketball stategy.etc
Yes JVG is not the best coach for the Rockets but he is what we have got!
To keep his Job the Rockets must win over 50 games and be in the playoffs.

As long as JVG can fart, I let him have the job.

Les Alexander sees what we see and went out of his way (IMO) not to give public props to JVG this summer. Bringing Morey on board was loading the gun and a disappointing season will pull the trigger.
