Could it be that this trade isn't being announced yet because Battier is a base year player until July 12th?

Okay, I am in denial now.

Is it a good news that we dont get Gizz's pick? It means they didnt pick for us and it means we still can back out from the trade?

I know why JVG said that he would never tank the games now. Of course he wont as he decided to give away a lottery pick. Swift for battier I can understand. Swift +Gay for battier?

Battier brings the type of leadership Yao and Mcgrady cant deliver. Great, great trade for the Rockets.

is there any way we can email the rockets organization to let them know how the fans feel? aside from all the boos at the draft night party, all the posts here on clutchfans, and i'm sure the radio complaints, maybe we want to mass email them like crazy the way we did during the training camp access fiasco.. i feel like i need to do something

Everyone relax -- we are getting a 10 and 5 guy who may crack the starting line up next season.

Is it just Battier for Swift and Gay, or do we get Lowry in the process? If we get Lowry, it's actually ok... But if we only get battier, then it sucks big time. Plus without swift, that means like we have to get improvement on the PF position, and we are gonna have to spend the MLE on that, which tells me that we don't get Mike James. Now we can all go to hell and never come back. Sux to be Rockets fan...

ya the 2002 draft at the number 1 was a no brainer, and at the 15th pick we screwed that up.. we passed on Juan Dixon, Jared Jefferies, Nenard Kristic, Tayshaun Prince, Carlos Boozer, and Luis Scola

and 2005 its too soon to say, if other rookies got 3000 minuteson a injury depleted team could possilbly put up similar numbers.

Some food for thought for the more level-headed skeptics perusing this thread:

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/draft?analysis=1

In other words, it may or may not be that bad, folks. It's a coin flip at this point.

Is this deal 100% official because I feel like Im in the fricken twilight zone. Why in their right minds would Houston management even consider this without getting more out of the deal? I know we could have gotten better deals for Rudy Gay so why take battier? Something just doesn't add up..
