Not that I would want the rockets to trade Shandon, but can he be traded? I know he has a clause to start, anything else?

.....and I shall wait for heypartner to start a thread "Can Steve Francis be traded"

as well as Mango saying this is in the wrong forum.

and now I will quote the CBA FAQ:
    71. Can players be given "no-trade" clauses in their contracts? What other "no trade" restrictions exist?
A "no-trade" clause can be negotiated into an individual contract if the player has been in the NBA for at least eight seasons, has been with the same team for at least four seasons, and is re-signing with the same team. Otherwise, individually negotiated contracts may not contain no-trade clauses. The no-trade clause prevents the team from making a trade involving the player without the player's consent.

Shandon hasn't been in the league 8 seasons, or with the Rockets 4 seasons, thus can't have a no trade clause, thus he CAN be traded.

Thanks for the info, I would not want to trade Shandon either. As far as Robert Horry, no way I would trade Shandon for Robert.

Most jokes aren't funny the second time around.

This one wasn't even funny on the first.

    Never mention trading Shandon again.

    Smeg --

    Thats it!!!!

I challenge you to a No-Holds Barred, Triple Deck Cage match.

Loser must spend a day in a #34, Karl Malone jazz jersey while extolling the virtues of Utah basketball.

Not sure how an Online BBS No-Holds Barred, Triple Deck Cage match works but it sounds like fun.

well you never say never when it comes to trading role players, if a deal comes up that is too good to pass up and shandon is ok with the trade then i guess shandon could be traded but the chances of that happening are slim.

I would not trade Shandon for Horry either. I love him, but don't think he'd work as well in the staus quo. MOREOVER, there is no way the rockets would make the trade. (1) they want to go in a new diredtion, and (2) Robert impregnated calvin murhpy's daughter-- a big time barrier.
