Found this site which has players career salaries upto last year. Some of the numbers look wrong as in the buyouts are not counted. So Deke & Bakers numbers should be higher.

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/HOU/2005.html

    Matt Maloney - $12,562,635
    Tracy McGrady - $65,053,730
    Mike James - $4,583,931
    Dikembe Mutombo - $108,738,924
    Juwan Howard - $118,238,700
    Vin Baker - $79,378,006
    Jon Barry - $18,025,000
    Bob Sura - $34,096,252
    Clarence Weatherspoon - $43,190,200
    David Wesley - $25,665,000
    Moochie Norris - $15,753,500
    Ryan Bowen - $4,610,882
    Scott Padgett - $4,300,940
    Yao Ming - $12,442,680
    Charlie Ward - $32,430,500

I can see why Mike James wants to opt out to feed his family. Compared to the others he lives in the NBA trailer park.

It's good to see that the two biggest career earners are both the kind of guys who give a lot of that money back via worthy causes.

We could field, by ourselves, a starting five and sixth man on the "all-larceny" team! One might point out that we have not been the victim of most of this past salary, but we had to trade away some of the more prolific burglars in Mo Taylor and Kelvin Cato to pick up some of the above talent. From an alumni standpoint, don't forget about the Shandon Anderson sign and trade for Glen Rice - both Houston and New York got taken on that deal.

The crime of "larceny" is a really serious crime which has extremely negative consequenses. People get killed and people's lives get ruined.

Juwan Howard, Mo Taylor and Kelvin Cato were professional employees whose employer (Les Alexander) agreed to pay them based on what they could contribute to his business.

Would be interesting to see the totals for some of the big name guys, like Shaq and KG.

Wow, those numbers really put in perspective our desperation for a decent point guard. Here's hoping that we finally get it right this year.
