Lakers are damn tough to beat when he's on, though. And he's damn impossible to stop when he's on, too. The problem with him is all mental.
Didnt say he’s a scrub but he isn’t a top 5 player. He never was no matter how long these talking heads tried to push it. AD led teams were never any good. And we still see what AD is without lebron. Definitely ain’t a top 5 player
To be fair no one thought was Kuzma was going to be good at all. MPJ was considered a high lottery pick but fell because of his injury history. Lakers and Lakers fans want Kuzma to play like MPJ and that's not fair to Kuzma, lol.
It's funny, right now, with LeBron, he is definitely a top 5 player, but alone he's a mess because he's not a leader.
Nah he isn’t with lebron. He’s the same player in a secondary role which is much better suited for him to contribute to winning. It actually means lebron is the top 5 player, not him and a disrespect to the other actual true elite players in the league leading their teams to wins. Top 5 players are reserved for true Alpha’s not beta’s
I think top 4 is easy: Harden, Giannis, LeBron, Kawhi in some kind of order. After that, it gets tough...I’d probably take Jokic at 5 and beyond that...not sure as no one really stands out to me. Could make a case for Paul George as he regularly got his Pacers in the playoffs with a weak cast, but it was also in the weak East. Could also make a case for Embiid, but he’s got some mental issues. After that, Doncic, Lillard, Butler, and Davis probably are somewhere in or around the top 10. They can’t take a weak cast and make the playoffs, but they can probably be there with a solid 2, but you can say that about a lot of stars...including Westbrook.

Exactly! AD is top 20. He is Russ level. Super player, but not top5. Very handy 2nd fiddle though. And at least Russ could take his squad to the playoffs.
