I would hate that matchup for us. But, don't you think if we can have an athletic big guy on CP3 and stay home all the time we should have the upper hand? I totally hated to let him go, I believe he is the point god, but I also remember all his weaknesses every time I see them play
#3 Net Rating is sweet. I cannot believe Rockets are being held back by their offense now. LOL Where are the fire MDA "fans" now? But more importantly: Bucks are neither #1, #2, #3 or even #4 in defense. So why in ALL the hells is Giannis a lock for DPOY?!?
We'd be favored for sure. I dont doubt that we could beat them. I just feel that this series puts a WHOLE LOT of unnecessary mental pressure on James and Russ. Like I don't want the hassle.Plus I like Cp as well.
You don't force a guy who just came back from injury, not the first time either, and put him in the starting line-up. Especially when the one we are running now is working great. Then expecting Gordon to struggle is just being realistic. Giving his up and down performance this year, I am not counting on him to be anything but a McLemore / House. Expecting MDA to seriously run a deep 9-man rotation with guys getting loads of minutes would be awesome, but I have to see it first. He's made claims in the past and looks how that turned out when it comes to rotations.
Rotations in 2017-2018 were 9 deep. Which coincidently was one of the few times Rockets had quality depth under MDA. Rockets lacked talent on the bench last season. Fact.
What was even more impressive about this "ho-hum" win is the 38 points scored in the second quarter. The Rockets were only 7-14 from the 3-point line for the quarter with 1 turnover and 1 offensive rebound allowed. That means they left 21 points on the board. At this rate, 60 points in a quarter can be reached. A sustained effort of 45 a quarter can be reached. Westbrook and Gordon didn't even play. Impressive.
