He deserves a decently long leash. He probably will suck for the first week or so. But we know he's the second most naturally gifted shooter on this team even if he had a bad start to the season. Harden had a bad start to the season also shoot the 3 ball but shot his way out of it and now is shooting at a good clip. Also, he's one of our best perimeter defenders. He can contribute positively even when he isn't shooting well. He's arguably our 3rd best player, second best when Westbrook turns into Westbrick.
new Orleans just beats Pacers, no westbrooks does not easy to win. Their team seems, become better like golden states, if houston no heart to win. It will lose this match
Western tank teams are all trap games. This team needs to remember that. EG being back, hopefully the rest of the team actually shows up.
Would rather have Westbrook on the road against Memphis than at home against Portland. Memphis has been one of the hottest teams in the league.
Latest is Gordon 0% chance to play versus Kings, 50% chance Tuesday at Spurs, 75% chance Wednesday vs Pacers. It would be nice to be able to throw Moute and Gordon out there in at least one game to see what they have. Although as usual I'm sure the coaches and players see plenty of them in practice where we don't.
Would LOVE to have both going into the Playoffs! They need to be in a rhythm going into the 2nd Round
Moute or Caboclo bringing any value would make things so much easier. With Gordon as long as his defense is available for 30 minutes per game in the first round of the playoffs, we're good. We don't need his offense to bounce back in the first round (though it would certainly help). By Round 2 though, Eric needs to be giving us a fairly efficient 15ppg with good defense. If Rivers' improved shooting numbers are legit, he can also really carve out a contract for himself this playoffs outplaying Gordon. If he's hitting 36% of his 3's while being a good defender, passer and driving threat, Rivers might be more valuable than Gordon. McLemore making it easier to cushion Gordon's absence. We need to dump Gordon and 2 future picks for a useful taller player. Jerami Grant would be ideal if we can convince him to force a sign and trade.
We're not missing him. He's been shooting around 24% from the 3pt line in his last 15 games or so. His shooting, in general, has been pretty poor since he signed that contract. Also, he doesn't look interested half the time when he's out there.
That's not going to happen. MDA loyalty to his stars is legendary. We are not talking about McHale here.
