because what u posted has been repeated like 100 times already...nothing new was brought to the table

2 or 3 minutes of 37 yo Tyson Chandler changes nothing

What is stopping Portland from running PnR action with Tyson Chandler’s man and forcing him to guard out on the perimeter?

people need to stop it with Carroll, he looks done

Luc ain’t played all year, and then came late because of Covid

    all 3 are sh*tty options

I'll take Luc and DC, we might as well try it out. We dont really have a choice tbh.

We literally CUT the guy with the best rebounding percentage on the team after the Capela trade, just let Hartenstein walk...

    If Luc can play.

Covid-19 is not a joke and he was not asymptomatic like Russ was.

The only real option was to let the 2nd unit without Russ and Harden, play longer.

Playing Tyson or Demarre 10 minutes does nothing to win. Rockets need to win TOV, FT and 3P.

Tyson cannot switch everything and Demarre is reluctant to shoot 3ball.

I love the Rockets, no denying that.

But at least I talk basketball, you only spout gibberish.

    You are better than that.

Now go @ some more posters.

Defense was good enough to win, offense was not.

Adding another big would not have helped.

Unless he could shoot the 3 better than anyone else who did play.

Why is this so important to you guys? Isiah was not going to play at all. Whether he was on the team or not, he was not going to get a single second of action besides scrimmages and garbage time. I don't understand why this needs to keep being discussed over and over.

    Facts are:
    • We are committed to playing small
    • Tyson Chandler is not going to play
    • Isiah was not going to earn a rotation spot. He probably would of been the 15th man if he were on this team.
There is really nothing left to discuss on this issue. It's a mute point. Get over it.

Lets discuss, what the Rockets could do better to put themselves in better positions to play against these tall players instead. My suggestions:
    • Put a body on someone and force the ref to call over the backs.
    • Better positional defense and close the paint earlier.
    • Don't double the post unless absolutely necessary, there is no reason we need to be beaten by three point shooters. We've given up too many of those.
    • Stay disciplined and stop jumping trying to block shots, instead go straight up like PJ does the majority of the time. PJ has forced a lot of big guys to shoot over him, and even though they are bigger, he's pushed them out of position and has them attempting difficult turn around jumpers that are not going in.
    • Do not gamble on the perimeter, stay disciplined and don't allow your man to walk into the basket.
    • Stop fronting the big man if you don't have help behind you. Sometimes the guys on the weakside are focused on lethal three point shooters and fronting your man creates a clean look to the basket since they just throw the basket over the defender and lead the big man to the basket.

yeah, people are just throwing out cliche complaints with zero analysis

we had a 100 offensive rating against a terrible Portland defense

in the 2nd half, we allowed just 98 points/100 possessions, but we scored a horrific 96 points/100

all those rebounds for Portland weren’t meaning much in the grand scheme of things

Handing out useless minutes to the likes of 37 yo Tyson Chandler while losing out on perimeter defense and spacing helps how? OP provided no argument other than the one we’ve heard a million times already.

Chandler and the already cut Hartenstein are not the solutions to anything

Rockets had Capela in our 2 previous losses to Portland...we got outrebounded by 8 and 11, and gave up 117 and 125

    “Smallball doesn’t work!”

as if the Rockets were looking so amazing when they had an excellent rebounder at the C position...

Capela Rockets were suspect, and we currently do not have any big worth playing or players worth expanding the rotation for other than handing out token scrub minutes just to say u played a few more guys...we are relying on EG to come back and not be garbage

I was commenting on anyone who "believes" that, not the post itself. It was obvious sarcasm - perhaps consider the content more than the implied direction of it?
