    Central Market is great and we've used them several times. Where they fall very short compared to HEB, who owns them (ironically enough), is their website. HEB's is very good, in my opinion. In comparison, Central Market's sucks! Why, considering that they are a subsidiary of HEB, is a mystery to me. CM has a vastly better selection of all sorts of things, but finding much of it can be a challenge, or impossible. Reading a description or enlarging an image to read the fine print? Forget it. Like I said, I still use them, but have to slog through their software to do it. Go figure.

    getting in an Uber this evening for the first time in 4 months. I wouldn’t do it if we hadn’t already had the virus. I’m also back at the gym, which strictly limits class size, mandates masks, and assigns each athlete a 10 for square, which is sanitized after the workout.

    we’ll dine with friends tonight, outside, and the servers are all masked.

    by way of explanation, i received some unsolicited info from an analog source, an acquaintance who may or may not be affiliated with a certain federal law enforcement agency. He knows I have family and friends in Austin; he heard some things and passed them along.

    glad things were less intense than forecasted.

    I too survived - and on the opposite end, I've been to HEB, Whole Foods, Central Market, Wheatsville and Costco numerous times since the pandemic jump. Never clean anything other than the produce which we've always done. I've also used Lyft twice and ridden and electric scooter at a remote park. (kids begged me to) We practice all safe measures, s-d'ing masks etc - not making light of anything just sharing.
