Luka is white, James harden is not just black but DARKSKIN. So the media will side with luka like they used to do with curry in the curry/harden debates. Also if steph curry or any light or white player had the season harden had in 2019 they would have won mvp over Giannis. I don’t usually bring up race in debates, but it’s so obvious harden has been slighted in his career because he is black or what black twitter would call "crispy" and has a high iq. Also was in the same draft class as curry, so the media who love curry have to put harden down whenever they are both mentioned. It’s a classic case of darkskin shaming. If harden was an athletic high flyer like lebron he would be more praised. Because subconsciously white liberals(especially) believe the darker you are the less your iq is. Harden busts that stereotype and it makes a lot people uncomfortable. If Curry is done and not able to perform at the level he did in 2016, the media have a new toy in doncic. They only market LeBron because of his large fanbase, but if the media had it their way LeBron would NEVER win another mvp again either.

Its the same reason you saw black twitter and all of the media angry that lamar jackson was voted number one over russell wilson and patrick mahomes. They were trying to shame lamar jackson because they felt he should not have been placed over mahomes( despite the fact he was only the 2nd unaimous mvp ever) Harden would have been appreciated in the 90's more before this colorism that has infected the NBA in recent times happened

Harden best Doncic in almost every advanced catergory, and the mavs still are a srs +5.5 when he doesnt play, Doncic is being carried a lot more than Harden is, and even kawhi who has better impact stats than doncic should be ahead of him as well.

Harden was averaging 39ppg on 64 ts but was still 4th on the nba mvp ladder behind, giannis and doncic early in december. Their has been a clear bias againist harden his entire career. And you just know they wanna vote Harden 2nd team all-nba this year and elevate doncic their too. They are itching to do it

How many player of the week and player of the month awards has harden been robbed of. They seemingly give them out to giannis all the time
