For me, it's this one. I lost my father five years ago.

I always thought James Blunt was a bit effeminate, a good singer, but wasn't the biggest fan, some stuff a bit too sappy.

But this song totally gets me.

If you have a parent you haven't spoken to in a while, give them a call.

No. Only thing that makes me cry is Marley and Me.

I don't think a song has ever literally made me cry, but this one has come close. Oh, and he's a Houston legend.

'You're beautiful' from the same guy.

Reminiscing the person you can't be with would probably shed a tear or two when sentimental.

Nothing has ever done that, but when I was in college my girlfriend and I used to listen to this song by drums on acid a lot...we ended pretty badly after which I just had a hard time listening to it anymore.

    Korn - Daddy

I could see that making someone cry that has been sexually abused.

I think you're right, I mean I have no idea and can't imagine, but when the singer won't perform the song live and you can tell it's a pretty dark place for him, I'm sure it could do the same to others.

When I was at the movies for Fast Furious 7, years back. There's a scene at the end with Paul Walker, where even though the actor died, they let the movie character live on. Movie played Wiz' - See You Again. When the movie ended and the lights came on. I looked around, saw one my left neighbors, this big burly dude, his eyes were red and seemed to be choked up.

    Three saddest songs:
    1. A Friend of Mine is Going Blind by John Dawson Reade. Old obscure song, but a friend of mine did go blind a while after the song came out.
    2. Don't Take the Girl by Tim McGraw
    3. Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman. The song itself isn't sad, but it was my youngest daughter's favorite song, and on her 16th birthday I had to be in New Jersey for work. I was pretty unhappy missing her birthday, and driving from the hotel to the office her favorite song came on the radio. Almost turned around that moment to go back to the hotel. One of the few times I ever posted something to facebook was apologizing to my daughter for missing her birthday, posting that song.

Not cry but very heart felt :
Fast Car- always gets me. It's real on the feels.
    Mi Viejo by Piero.

from Mr. Blunt, I would say it's "Goodbye My Lover" more than monsters or You're Beautiful.

The black eyed dog and medicine man never stopped haunting him... and he finally did go home, he killed himself but it was always inevitable.

I used to cry when I heard "Last Kiss," Pearl Jam version. I was around 10 at the time. "Lonely" by Bobby Vinton and "Hurt" by Johnny Cash are also sad songs. Nowadays, I may get a tear in my eye when I hear great singing, not so much the content of the song.
