    Not for the TV networks...

Their ST site would have been a backup, but Covid. Tampa was the second backup... but again, covid.

Hopefully they’ll find a place... preferably on the west coast... and the Yankees will then complain about the extra travel.

Maybe when it starts, I'll care more...but man, I doubt it. I can't remember caring less about a "season" of Astros baseball in my life. Too many other things to be concerned about, honestly. That makes me kinda sad I feel that way.

As someone that feels trapped at home, I am completely on the opposite end of the spectrum.

I am looking forward to grilling some hot dogs wrapped with bacon and jalapeno poppers, eating peanuts, drinking ice cold Crawford Bock, Zoom call with friends, and watching the Astros destroy the Mariners. May setup for watching the game on the back patio if the no rain, 80 degree temp for first pitch holds. If the Rangers are losing, may even call the brother-in-law during the game so I can get some Rangers tears to go with the Crawford Bock.

This is exactly how I feel!!

I guess for those still basically living their “normal” lives they don’t care as much, I absolutely can’t wait

I am very much looking forward to the distraction. I think one of the most overlooked aspects of the pandemic has been how much entertainment (live music, sports, dining out, bars, etc.) allows the average person to not only decompress and manage their own stress, but also to maintain cordial relationships with people they might otherwise not have much in common with. I think the lack of sports has really exacerbated the political and ideological divide in this country.

I did bring a case of Crawford Bock back to Florida with me when we were in Texas a few weeks ago.

At this point I'm not sure I even care how the season ends, I'm just interested in different entertainment.

This. But i'll add that i am sure how I feel about it will be different once it gets going than right now. A lot depends on how our guys respond. If they come out with fight and wins, then it wont take long to win my interest back.

There is no doubt about this

The mental health aspect is much larger than 90% of the population will ever realize

That's awesome. It just doesn't feel like baseball to me playing a 60 games schedule to empty ballparks. That, my wife still experiencing breathing issues post-COVID, and trying to run a law firm in an economic shutdown just don't have me in a frame of mind for it at all. I wish all that wasn't so.

As soon as Verlander throws that first pitch, you will care how it ends!

Pre-COVID my response would be message me your address I'm on the way. As it is, I haven't really thought about it much because it felt more like a dream than an impending reality. Now a few days out, I am going to start planning my personal family watch party for opening night.

Someone has said that its not the challenges in life that matter, it how we respond to them. So go get you some hot-dogs, Bock or whatever floats your boat, pretend its the first game after the all-star break, every team has a .500 record, and the final leg of the season is about to commence.

Hey, if you want to get really hyped up, FS1 is replaying Game 7 in 40 minutes.

Sorry to hear about your wife. I hope she gets better.

As the prospect of baseball doesn't help ease your frame of mind, I hope you have a mechanism to relieve stress in your life.

    God bless.

I need to rewatch 2017 WS game 7. I watched most of that one with my eyes closed.
