I miss the old lineup cards with the clean script

Also, the capital and lowercase C's on McCullers are transposed!

Speedster Myles Straw said about Javier Bracamonte's great catch: "I hope I can run it down at that age."

Bracamonte was using Straw's glove, too.

"I'm going to make sure I sanitize that and may just give it to him," he said.

Asked if he's confident the 2020 season can be completed, Justin Verlander said "no, not yet."

Justin Verlander says protocols and everything were thought through, it’s just implementing it. "The first hurdle we’ve come to is testing and in my opinion the most important...we need to get it figured out quickly."

JV not yet confident they'll make it through the season: "Every day we get closer to the season is another day that we’ve made it without a big outbreak in a clubhouse. The longer this process goes without it being shut down, the better the chances of us playing this season."

Sounds like the Astros will try to play another intrasquad on Sunday. The team is inviting some big league umpires to camp, too, in hopes they can work the game. Umpires have to go through the intake screening process first. Their screening could happen Friday, Dusty Baker said

When Spring Training was postponed back in March, Forrest Whitley was 236 lbs. Now he's back and is 203 lbs!? Kyle Tucker looks like he's filling out, too. These two guys are CRUCIAL to the success of this franchise for the next 5 years.

Side note: A website had Kyle Tucker's 2020 Full Season Projections at 26 HRs and 95 RBIs. I just cant see it. But I'd gladly eat that crow.

If Tucker got a full season of ABs and was healthy, 26 homers may be about what to expect. An Evan Gattis-like batting line except he can play OF. I hope he can learn to hit for more average, but that is what I am expecting at the moment. RBI number seems high, but RBI number is very weird and has a lot to do with teammates.

Caveat: If Tucker can get a full season of ABs is a big assumption.

Yeah going into March he said he gained weight to improve his durability but decided to lose weight during the break because he felt more comfortable without the extra weight.

More likely Strom gave him the figurative back of the hand than feeling less comfortable.

Figurative? He's ready for the literal.

Love him. Want him to stay long term. His pitching will age well.

I think Smith will opt out. Otherwise, I hope Astros develop and stay healthy to be able to play that team.

I wonder if Baker will run the same lineup out everyday or tinker with it daily like Hinch.

And can we talk about Hinch for a moment? Easiest season long suspension in the history of sports.
