Trump NAFTA to triple Mexican auto workers’ pay and add 0 jobs to the US

about time mexicans got a living wage. hopefully will help to clean up that shithole and put the continent on on a path to parity needed for an actual free trade area.

 

The center also said U.S. car sales will drop by up to 1.3 million units annually due to the Trump administration's trade policy -- including sanctions on China. It estimates that 70,000 to 360,000 jobs will be lost, leading to a $6 billion to $30.4 billion reduction in gross domestic product.

Does that now mean they can afford to pay for The Wall?

 

Pardon me while I blow my horn here. I pretty much said this would happen back when this passed. I also predicted this.
"Consumers will ultimately pay the price for inefficient production and increased component flow. U.S. research agency Center for Automotive Research estimates that 13% to 24% of all cars sold in the U.S. will be subject to tariffs. If automakers pass these costs on, prices will rise by $470 to $2,200."

I can appreciate that Trump negotiated a great deal for Mexico. I love Mexico and I'm happy that people will be paid a living wage. How about farmers, was there any benefit there that Trump can still claim his revised NAFTA agreement allows for Mexico to pay for wall?
