I had heard he was still pissed at being left off the World Series roster, when he pitched like the best pitcher in baseball for 10 weeks or so when most of our staff was injured, but then melted down in August/September. Isn't that why he blabbed? Maybe that's what you are referring to.

Eh, if he was really that pissed, why not blab right then/there?

Ultimately, he ends up staying quiet for 2 years... gets a job with a rival whereby he pitches well against mostly all teams... minus vs. the Astros.

Yeah I don’t know when the ball got rolling on him squealing but I look back to that September 2019 game when we dropped about 10 runs on him in an inning or two. If he hadn’t already talked, that definitely did it. Plus you know Bregman txtd him something after the game.

    That's exactly why he blabbed.

I'm guessing he knew what was going on and Manfred told him to fire Luhnow and Hinch or he would have to sell the team.

Footer knew what was going on and looked around for a disgruntled player to spill the beans. Why was she this way?

    1. She hated Luhnow and the fact that he traded for Osuna.

Doubt it... can’t expect Disney to police itself... it’s like asking the Catholic Church to purge all their pesophiles... hasn’t happened in Centuries, wont happen now.

Did Footer actually break the Fiers story? I don't recall that.

Evan Drellich (reporter who interviewed Fiers), on the other hand, has plenty of reason to be disgruntled towards the Astros.... but mostly because he dug his heels in so deeply against the rebuild plan when Luhnow first took over, that when the team started winning there was no way he could write himself out of the previous stance.

Stick a group of HS girls behind home plate, no way he could concentrate on the game.

Losing Josh Hader in the trade hurts the Astros the Most.

Josh Hader wouldve been the Closer of the Astros.

Carlos Gomez, Mike Fiers - Two Hot Heads, Bad Chemistry Guys.

And with Hader maybe we don't trade for Osuna. As crazy as it sounds, if we don't trade for Osuna and piss off Footer, there is at least a possibility that the chain of events that followed bringing even more hatred by the media towards our organization doesn't occur, at least to the point that led to them seeking out a guy like Fiers

    F them all

Josh Hader had a Old Post Twitter incident, Racism.

The Media would've destroyed the Astros Even Worse than the Small Market Brewers.

I was really hoping the recent flurry of action in this thread was going to be more sweet Yankees slander and not Hader/Gomez/Fiers chatter...sigh

In general yes, but specifically pissing off Footer is what led to the chain of events that ended with prick Drelich going to Rat Fiers and Worthless Manfred protecting his yanks and sox

You can’t go back on that Fiers trade without potentially losing the World Series. There were a lot of injuries to the rotation in 2017 and Fiers was an above average constant when we needed him. Obviously did nothing in the postseason though. But either way I work off the basis that every move prior to 2017 was the right one, including Hader for **** bag Fiers.

Hopefully Tanaka is okay...he got grilled on a line drive comeback to the noggin from Stanton in practice. He was alert and walking on his own, so hopefully he’s all good. Hate to see it. Baseball can be a scary sport. Sidenote, funny to see Yankees mob on Twitter calling for beaning our players...while juxtapositioning it with their reactions when their own player gets hit. ‍♂️ ☕️
