If healthy and can play like 17 this is HUGE. Betting he isn’t going to be the same though

That’s interesting when Covington literally just returned as an elite defense wing. But ok

When those 3 guys aren’t in, they’ll be doing the same thing

I'm talking about players who were already vets and have shown their ceiling, returning to anywhere near that level of play. As much as I am not a fan of JLin, he was improved in his second stint, and same w RoCo, they were young their first stints. I should clarify that "a player like this" I meant veterans who played here and return.

I hope it works out differently this time though, Luc is not THAT old.

Nene was great initially as a backup big here. Injuries in the playoffs and age caught up to him 2 years ago

For the love of God do not let this man dunk plz. The Rockets should be good if he doesn't.

Can’t play him key minutes if he can’t stretch the floor. His shooting is key to making his defense special. If players can sag off him - the spacing of no big man is jacked.

Solid pickup considering the loss of Thabo.

I'm excited about this group going into training camp together. It'll be extremely important to get everyone on the same page defensively and figure out how we're going to hang with bigger teams on the boards.

If he’s healthy then the 9 man rotation will be...

    Westbrook
    Harden/Rivers
    House/Gordon
    RoCo/Luc
    PJ/Green

Sprinkle in a little McLemore and Carroll whenever need be.

This is now a very deep veteran heavy team that can defend multiple positions and hit open 3’s. They have 4 guards that can create for themselves and others. 6 forwards that defend multiple positions and hit 3’s. If Luc is healthy and can play for 15 minutes per game then I really like the Rockets chances.

I thought he'd been pretty bad and/or regularly injured since he left. But not like we were getting anyone else. Hard to be worse than Thabo was for us this year.

Robert Reid was just as good during his second go-round with the Rockets.

In LA, it was his knee that was problematic. Never heard anything about his shoulder. By now they've both had time to heal up, but sometime's time isn't enough. Let's cross our fingers.

Morey always brings them back. It’s getting comical at this point. Luc hasn’t really played in two years.

I fully expect Ariza to come back one more time next year after COVID is over.

Luv the guy too but the plight of the world is jeopardy. What does it even matter right now?

Rockets seem to have kept this quiet. Thabo being out looks to have been forthcoming

I'm not mad at having Luc around (I'll forever love the guy) but I don't expect much. When was the last time he even played for more than 10 games at a time?
