As opposed to renowned starter Danuel House? And yes Melton is another young, hungry prospect who is clearly good that they lost for nothing for pure money reasons. Melton is like young Bledsoe. Hartenstein played great every time he stepped out there. He had a dominant peak Gobert type game and never saw the floor again, lmao. D’Antoni is horrible and so is Tilman. Morey is at bare minimum overrated.
Why the hell would Indiana take eg for Turner? That’s beyond fantasy and gallinari is getting more than the mle
I think it is very unrealistic but Turner hasn’t been as good this year. They might see Sabonis as better long term, and with Oladipo a free agent in 2021 they might feel some urgency to make a move. I’m quite sure they could get a better/younger player than Gordon but I think we are at least in the conversation if you were to add House and a 1st.
Listen, I may be forgetting basketball is a thing for long stretches at a time. Like are any of us sure it was ever real? I think it may have been faked like the moon landing or the earth being round.
Other offers would blow ours out of the water, even if he had a down year (Pacers fans say stats were down but he improved in other areas and stats don’t tell the story and that him and Sabonis were starting to mesh well) but if they wanted to move him, he’s still a 7’er that’s mobile on d and can shoot the 3...they’ll get better offers than Gordon’s contract, house and a late first (which we don’t have many anyways) Id love to have him, but Gordon’s bad contract is a nonstarter in my opinion (and pacers fans opinions)...I know you basically agreed with me, but I just wanted to point out that pacers fans tell a different story about turner and his dip in stats
Time for us all to realize MDA, Morey, and Tilman are the problem with this team. All three need to go for there to be a ring in Harden’s future and that ain’t gonna happen.
I'm already willing to give up a package centering around James Harden, Russell Westbrook, PJ Tucker, Eric Gordon, Robert Covington, Danuel House, Austin Rivers, Ben McLemore, Thabo Sefolosha, Tyson Chandler, Chris Clemons, Jeff Green, DeMarre Carroll, David Nwaba, William Howard and Michael Frazier.
I’m just hearing about this. This is ridiculous. Of course he will be back with the Rockets in a few years after he excels with another team. We will probably give up a first and a second round pick to acquire him.
While I think we cut the wrong guy, if he wasn't going to get to play, why have him? As far as timing, years ago we hadnt committed to small ball in a big way yet. Only since the Covington trade did his player value to the team, in the brasses eyes, drop to the point where he was totally expendable.
Skill over size. Do not hold your breath for adding any big men this season. “We like having skilled players here in Houston…With bigs it’s tough sometimes because they don’t have the ball-handling skills and they don’t have the shooting skills. The more skill you get on the floor the better your offense is. Defensively you’ve got to work to create a good defense within whatever players you’ve got out there.” https://spacecityscoop.com/2020/06/21/daryl-morey-explains-houston-rockets-big-man/
