    Even if they think the long pause is an advantage, all those teams did not practice or play together, even shooting at hoops was limited.

    I fully expect teams to go 1-12 from three and still keep on shooting.

    I don't know, people are obviously hell bent on resuming whatever simulacram of normal they can, because this is very hard.

    I think it's bizarre and irresponsible for the NBA even consider having their tournament bubble, regardless of that bubble's ultimate permeability in the middle of a localized COVID19 hellscape arising now in Florida, but, Disney wants it and it would be embarrassing to change, so...**** it, I guess

    Still too much uncertainty about long-term effects. For instance, a recent study showed lung scarring in a majority of asymptomatic patients. Additional studies are underway on heart disease, infertility, and other stuff. I’m not optimistic about team sports in the near-term. The solution remains to stay at home and mask up until the curve bends enough for testing, tracing, and isolation to make a substantial difference. But we’ve decided not to do that. I guess there’s always New Zealand rugby matches to watch.

    It’s quite sad covid-19 shows most governments, save a few, are more worried about saving businesses and trying to get any form of entertainment up and running again over health. NBA giving the athletes special treatment is also disrespectful to the nurses among other vital professions who have no access to getting tested etc. I hope enough players will sit so that the NBA looks bad.

    it’s not the NBA’s fault state officials and idiots in the White House failed healthcare and other essential workers

    What’s the NBA supposed to do? Not create a bubble and provide substantial testing for the players?

    Who can’t get tested? Have you even tried or is this an assumption as if this was March when there were barely any sites and available tests. It’s actually pretty easy to get tested now. In fact a lot of places around Houston are so empty it’s a quick in and out
