I don’t have a problem with your proposal, but companies are already starting to manufacture masks that are made using more comfortable material. My mom recently ordered some online. That said, most people aren’t neglecting to wear a mask because they find it uncomfortable. They either think the pandemic is overblown, feel wearing a mask violates their constitutional freedoms, or are simply selfish like President Trump.

I just tried one on, and it definitely is made from a lighter material.
The choice was NEVER “economy vs lives”. It was always “lives vs lives”. Look at the death rates, folks. Dropping hard. Over 80% of people who get this either have no symptoms or mild such that they can recover from home.
So what you are saying is a whole lot of people with little to no symptoms are going to restaurants, bars, family gatherings, etc...and spreading the virus. This is why people with weak immune systems, people with other health conditions, and elderly are even more at risk with all the loosening of restrictions.
Kinda sucks people with lupus can't get their hydroxychloroquine treatments because dipshits were hoarding the drug. I wonder who gave the hoarders false hope for a drug that can still save lives for other non-related diseases.
Pneumonia deaths in Texas are way way up vs a normal year. Someone is not counting covid related deaths correctly.
You seriously think people with obvious symptoms are the ones going around spreading it? I'd think people who are really sick would probably be the last ones going out socializing. It seems more logical to me that people who think they are fine would be the ones out and about, but believe what you want.
