He hasn't played in a few years and his skills were declining when he was playing. If you want to make a "statement" signing, give him a job in the front office.

I've never understood the texans backing up Watson with a guy that can't run the same offense. They have to change everything about the team when he gets hurt. Kaepernick would help that

Nah I’m good. Nothing to do with who he is. Dude hasn’t played in the NFL in years and wasn’t good last bit of when he was.

Would rather Tyrod Taylor or even McCarron can run a bit

I would have rather them sign Houston football legend PJ Walker but they missed that chance

Instead of signing kaep can we go ahead and sign Eric Reid? He was right there with kaep from the beginning and we need another player in the secondary plus being Justin Reid’s brother doesn’t hurt

Why do we have to sign players that suck to prove we love black players? Geez. When will this **** end.

yes!!!! The cop that did that to Floyd should be shot in both eyeballs tonight.

Hasn’t played in 4 years but still is better than AJ McCarron. Bob would rollover in his grave if Texans signed Kap.

The reason Kaepernick never got a job is because he was a controversial figure who was only worthy of being a backup or maybe a fringe starter. The media circus and the "fans" boycotting the NFL at the time weren't worth the hassle to have him on your team. Although public opinion for many has shifted, his presence on a team would still create a distraction and piss off people who still believe kneeling to be disrespectful to the flag. It's still not worth it for a guy you hope doesn't even play.

LOL this would never happen. First off we got the McNairs running this organization and the comments Bob made about the national anthem protest back then Kap would never sign even if he had the chance. And then you got BOB out here who can't even handle having Hopkins on the squad bc of his own insecurities so he def is not going to put up with the circus if Kap were to join. I'd be all for it but cmon its not happening.

    You know this how?

Kaep isn't interested in playing for less than 20 mil per yr.

    He wont be a Texan.

Is Kaepernick a tall white guy with no mobility but has the toughness and the stature of being a NFL QB like Ryan Mallet, Brock Osweiler, Tom Savage, or AJ McCarran?

No? Then BOB isn't interested. I mean he wasn't even interested in Watson until Tom Savage proved beyond any doubt that he was Tom Savage.

    Rick Smith internship.

I hear Hopkins paid kapernick to braid hair which was final straw before Hopkins trade!

You are clueless about O'Brien's handling of the locker room. Whatever shortcomings he may have as a X's & O's guy, handling a locker room is not a problem for him.

Right because BOB's entire history as a coach and all the QBs he's coached were mobile minority QBs that may be raw and unstructured but has a lot of potential. I mean he's definitely not a coach who despite having an offense centered around a mobile, improvisational QB, would possibly sign a tall, white QB who can't run and can't improvise and can't do anything that the starting QB can do
