Lol @ Ed Reed. If he wants to do something how about donating that 5 mill you stole from the Texans to small business owners who were looted.

I honestly thought we were past this point.

Drew has a right to feel however he wants. If he looks at the flag and sees his grandfathers fighting for this country, that is all fine and good. But part of being a leader is listening to those you lead and attempting to understand where they are coming from.

To say that he will “never agree with people who disrespect the flag” means; 1) He clearly doesn’t understand the reason behind their protest, and 2) He doesn’t WANT to understand the meaning behind the protest.

I certainly don’t speak for them but if I were one of his teammates, I would have lost all respect for him as a leader. He doesn’t get it, and he probably never will.

People with their weird ass fixation on a flag and patriotism. Over 100k people died from incompetent leadership, rioting all over the place bc of police brutality, but gotta respect our flag. U figured the lives of americans take priority, but some seem to care about a flag more.

Cant really listen to anyone that "respexts" the flag, while outright ignoring the corruption and incompetence of the trump administration.

No way in hell should the greatest country/first world country b leading in death handling a pandemic, especially if we still dont have adequate testing supplies. Even if some country is fudging their numbers, arent we basically doing the same sht w/ not enough testing supplies?

I Didnt hear brees standing up for the press getting attacked by police either, which is denyin the first amendment. Proud to b an american but only seem to partake in certain aspects of faux patriotism is just disgusting.

U have the freedom to protest, but as long as u "respext" the flag. Thats not being american at all if u add restriction.

Thats like saying u can have freedom of speech as long as u dont say sht about our president.

“I support your protest as long as it doesn’t make me uncomfortable.”

Brees is part of the problem. And the fact that he posted a black image yesterday for Blackout Tuesday means he is as fake as it gets.

Expressing that you don't like the kneeling, is hate speech. Drew Brees is basically saying he supports police killing black people.

IDK that even the best PR team fake apology can save him now. Think he must be cut, with no post career coaching/broadcasting opportunities etc. obviously.

Wow Outkick the Coverage collective opinion this morning was "I don't see how (Drew Brees' statement) is remotely controversial", directly from host Clay Travis, who is also a lawyer.

LISTEN to all the black athletes posting videos now, openly crying, bawling to DB's, about his statements.

On kneeling, has anyone suggested that the NFL, before the anthem, have a dedicated moment of silence promoting racial progress and equality? Anyone who wants could kneel, join hands, cry, whatever.

then people could stand together for the anthem.

    boom: unity

Compromise. But then again if its not televised like the national anthem, it kinda negates the point of a protest

Well, Jake Fromm is at least in the right place. Buffalo is one of the most racist cities if you ask me. Boston and Salt Lake right behind 'em.

So Jake Fromm is both racist AND elitist.

Poor white people? Can't have guns
Rich black people? Can't have guns

Will NRA release a statement condenming Fromm?

Shaq went through it when he was making fun of Yao's language. It was total overkill. Shaq and Drew are good guys who stepped into a pile of shiot with no intent to hurt anyone.
