Because I am sure they are using an android tablet they got from eBay. get out of here.

Just because something is touch doesn't mean it's going to fail. Pretty sure there's redundancy on redundancy on redundancy.

Live feed. They docked with the ISS a couple hours ago. They've been doing all the checks and connections and pressure equalization necessary and are going to enter soon. So cool.

So basically, Star Trek people like the Space X design, and Star Wars people like the Space Shuttle Design. It's very confusing.

What I'm sensing is dual personality syndrome everywhere.

    Space X / NASA
    Dragon / Falcon
    Star Wars / Star Trek

It's like total identity confusion. And now you have the ISS Star Wars design merging with the Star Trek Design. It's an artistic nightmare.

As a Trek person I just want to point out the shuttle is the oddball of the three. The Apollo command module and the Dragon are both capsules. The shuttle had much much higher functionality.

It was an atmospheric glider. They didn't move the stick and rudder controls to iPads, a capsule with no flight surfaces doesn't need them. It had reusable rocket engines, fuel tanks etc.

The real comparison is Apollo to dragon which moves to more automated maneuvers and control layout.

The Orion will likely look the same way except with stick controls for complicated maneuvers during space travel beyond LEO.

I watched this earlier and still can't believe how long it takes to open a door. :D I was pretty anxious during the docking, so happy everything turned out well. The 2 Russian guys must've been bored sitting there listening to all the American stuff. Nice to see some teamwork -- even if it's not on this planet.

The problem with the new Crew Dragon capsule is, since it is touch screens, they always have to answer "Are you sure you want to take this action?" every time they press something. My Dad also told me the Shuttle displays were all just static images like they did in Star Trek. The only one that actually worked and showed stuff was the one in the middle.

The other problem with Crew Dragon is you have to sh_t in your seat and there is really nowhere else for the other crew to go. So, it's a little awkward. "Are you sure you want to take a sh_t? Yes / No / Maybe / Just farting"

    I kid. I kid. :)

Elon sent me a prototype terminal usb for the new starlink. I plug this into my smart TV, and I get access to his global internet. It's big.
