Up until the hiatus, Eric Gordon had endured a pretty difficult season having to deal with a slump in production and nagging knee injuries, but he looks to have put those woes behind him. It’s a huge boost potentially if the Rockets can get a healthy Gordon. Why? If you spend enough time around this team, you’ll often hear Gordon referred to as the ‘X-factor’. “I think Eric Gordon’s a big key for us,” head coach Mike D’Antoni said on KHOU’s SportsExtra last week. “He has the potential to put us over the top.” Gordon generally keeps to himself and has never been a huge social media presence but don’t take that as a sign that he isn’t working, because he is. According to a team source, Gordon has already lost 12 pounds off his frame by way of track sprints and diet. There’s a hope that with the weight that has come off him, he’ll be able to prevent further injury to his knees.
So we downsize our team to hell and our SF and PF Gordon and Harden are loosing big weight, god help us.
Was watching Morey and Kayleigh(?) livestream yesterday and Morey talked about how "the playoffs are where Eric earns his paycheck" and that he is going to be leaned on to be a contributor and was sorely missed this season. True words, Marloy.
I just hope he increases his trade value. Just getting close to his contract value would be an answered prayer.
