Honestly I think we need a post defender who can shoot threes as a C.

    Baynes
    Dedmon
    Lopez

Those 3 stand out to me.
Admittedly Dedmons shooting fell off a cliff last season

You could be right especially with what is essentially a 2nd training camp due to Covid-19.

Bruno seems to believe this as well.

But would still bring in Bolden and Justin Anderson.

Those losses before hiatus, mda had shown his unsatisfaction on team D as well as emphasized on D in all kinds of interviews.
i dunt think mda care less about D, on the contrary in micro ball his players need much more concentration n engergy on D to lock down opponents while run n gun opp's out of breath.
That's just need smart game control n better game execution.

By adding salt to the wound, I mean southern European countries are getting a much bigger hit by the virus pandemic in consideration of their already weakening economic ecosystem.
states players' payrolls are not cheap, some players might be on their way seeking better pay job should euro league teams look to cut down costs.

Correct, Bolden has the physical toughness that Bruno lacks. He is faster than him too.
Your points on Harty are correct.

Why not sign both? These are lower end contracts and we need to fill out the roster anyway. Then find ways to blend them in with the talent that is here. AKA use their energy and hide their weaknesses. Gives the starters a rest and the team a lift.

I'm in favor of signing Bolden and perhaps Justin Anderson as well. How many players do we have right now?

Chandler and Shefolosha do not need to come back. Get the energy level higher for the cost of some aged players. Shefolosha does get spot minutes but Bolden or Anderson could do just as well if given the chance, IMO.

Start rolling over the bottom of the roster looking for the right fit. Shefolosha and Chandler are already paid 3/4 of the way through the season. One or both may want to retire vs coming back anyway.

    Cap space is not needed.
Posters listed 8 players who are worth 10 million a year. Don’t forget Morey can sign Rivers 10 million then trade for one of them.
Don’t forget Morey can also use full MLE to sign another one, 4 million pay cut is okay.

    Ibaka and Lopez fit good.

Would need to cut Clemons and either Thabo/Tyson.

I like Clemons. He has a future as a 8th man, if he is utilized properly. Tyson is out of gas and Thabo is marginally better.

The Rockets need to see if Bruno has come with a changed attitude.
If he doesn't show some toughness on the boards and around the basket on offense, cut him. I have serious doubts about his mentality. A few jumpers isn't going to change things for me. Harty works harder, but he is slow. He should go Onuako's way.

I would love to see Harty get some mins with Harden and Westbrook out.

But he must improve his switch D.

    Brodie - Rivers - BMac
    Beard - EGo - House
    PJ - Anderson - Demarre
    RoCo - Bolden - Thabo
    Bruno - Green - Harty

This is the depth chart I would love to see.

I think that Harty has a chance now that RoCo is here. The issue before was that there was absolutely no rim protection when Harty was beat on the perimeter. RoCo’s impeccable timing with his help defense and his ability to block shots could allow the Rockets play with a more traditional 5 and still switch.

I could see the Rockets playing the below line up next season next season. They can tweak the rotation so that PJ comes out early in the first quarter with Westbrook.

    Rivers
    Harden
    House
    RoCo
    Hartenstien

Harty also needs to stop getting beat like a rug on the perimeter too.

Otherwise teams will just keep picking on him in Rockets switch everything defense.

Harty is better playing zone, e.g. forming a wall like Celtics system. The closer to rim he plays on defense the better.

Still think Rockets need big man upgrade THIS season.
