    lol, this is too easy

Harden, without question...the Beard, no debate

nobodies like Francis and T-Mac don’t even belong...T-Mac is an iconic 1st round failure

Harden is changing the game...I have seen no Rocket get as much love in the city as him since the Dream

Harden is the 2nd greatest Rocket

Yao’s only relevance is the China connection

Harden is an all-time great, legendary player...1 ring and he’s top 20 all-time

Yao deserves more votes than poll suggests but it really is no contest.

Harden has been 1st or 2nd in MVP race the last 5 years. He should already have 3 with Houston.

Harden gets it, but Yao vs. Lakers playing injured and coming back is always in my head.

Anyone who didn't say Harden just woke up from a 12 year coma.

Iconic doesn't mean most talented though.

I could say Scola's jumper or Chuck Hayes on D were iconic.

You could be iconic bc of looks and appearance such as Dennis the Worm.

If PJ Tucker was playing 5+ years, I would vote for him.

Depends on where you’re asking. Yao might trump Harden in many places.

No real Rockets fan is voting Yao over Harden.

Harden best player of that bunch, probably 2nd best Rockets player ever. That being said, Yao is largely recognized around the world and could potentially be considered more iconic. Still, I voted for Harden.

There's a difference between "most iconic" and "best". Harden is undoubtedly the best player.

But Yao was/is a MASSIVE star in China. He attracted Jordan-esqe hysteria when he travelled there. I recommend Year of the Yao to anyone who hasn't seen it, it's a good doc about his rookie year, and it shows some of what I'm talking about. 1.4 billion people basically adore this guy, plus Rockets fans.

The best example is that he was chosen to be the flag bearer for the host country at the 2008 Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony, an event China took extremely seriously as a demonstration of their rising power. That's practically the definition of someone being "iconic", and that is something the others won't achieve.

    that question is too vague

I put Yao cause he was probably more popular in his time
and he was unique since he was the first good Asian player
too bad there were none that followed after him from any country

As far as who sells more shoes and a real MVP, Harden

the question is 'Iconic' which is very vague and can be interpreted differently
so I picked Yao cause he was more 'Iconic' which I feel meant popular

If this was a question such as who was the best Rocket, that's easily Harden

Also Yao never played for another team

that was unique and obviously because Les Alexander wouldn't sell his cash/yen cow

I bet if he had a choice between his wife
    and Yao, Yao wins
