If Hopkins supposed to be premiere player, then he is supposed to talk to coaching staff

Hopkins had his time in penthouse.

Hopkins has gone from penthouse to 'outta the house'.

Or maybe the 4th was for taking on DJ's contract?

Look I would've done things differently, I would've traded Nuk and not taken on DJ's money. With DJ's money and getting rid of Nuk's money you could've either re-signed Reader and drafted Blacklock. The DL would've been really good with Watt/Reader/Blacklock on it.

Or I would've used that money plus Murray money to bring in Byron Jones.

Either way I dont take on DJ's contract and I draft a RB like McFarland in the 4th.

No Mercilus? Would you move Watt inside or Omenihu?

Omenihu, I dont think Watt's body can hold up to playing inside. Plus Watt's still the best pass rusher they've got.

Martin is a better pure pass rusher. IMHO

Mercilus is a 3 down over all kind of guy who can take advantage of lesser players. Martin has the juice as a pass rusher. IMHO

It's time to move on from Watt. He was MIA during a 51 point onslaught.

Icertainly would be good with tearing this thing to the ground and starting over.

not gonna happen. Texans r stupid but not stupid enough to trade someone with that much name power. And even if we do trade, I doubt I trust BoB enough to get even half the trade value of Watt.

Yeah Watt was only reason defense gave up 51, totally makes sense. His second game back from a torn pec, he’s the reason.

    Great logic

Comical that the talk has now shifted from "we couldn't pay him" (even though they overpaid for Walmart bargain bin players)
to ....we are wanting to spread the ball, Hopkins was deterring that.
This move was and will always be about teapot not being able to keep his lid on and spilling over after boiling. Nothing to it.

(rhetorical) Why can you spread the ball around with Dhop and fuller, but when Fuller is gone your "Game plan" "week to week" offense reverts back to the 1980s without even trying. That's not on Dhop or Watson.

As painful as iconic duos being ripped and split at the seams, someone savvy with self composure could have gotten value for Dhop. Jerra Jones loves big names with that much bigger talent.

Nothing against walmart bargain bin dvds, I found "Back to the future 3" for .99 cents once upon a time

Since 2016 Watt has played in 32 of a possible 64 regular season games. Part of ability is availability.

Would you trade Watt to Dallas for 2nd round pick?

Yes if we had a different coach and still had Hopkins. Seeing as we are not winning a Super Bowl anytime soon, no.

No doubt about that. That wasn’t the topic, blaming him for the chiefs debacle is ridiculous imo. Watt-granted, when healthy is still a top defender in the league and best defender on the team.

Not bad for a washed up backup RB. $10 million. Un-freaking-believable.
