Didn’t they just combine both the nl and al divisions and kept everybody in east, central and west?

On the flip side, the Astros are still in the same division with the Mariners.

ETA: looks like they took the Braves out of the East and put them in the Central. pirates go to the east.

I'll take it if that's what we get

But 6 california teams along with Seattle means a LOT of late nights, at least Arizona and Colorado not quite as late

And the MLB-decreed "natural" NL rivals in Arizona and Colorado!

I still hate this, but I have to admit the Astros-Rangers thing is working. I will still take the NL West over any AL division every day of the week. That goes for the NLC and NLE too, tbh.

Here's your 5-team per division MLB realignment where EVERYBODY gets shoved into a "regional rivalry" whether they like it or not, instead of just doing it to the Astros.

...except technically the Pirates and Phillies.

NLW: Astros, Rangers, Dodgers, Angels, Padres
NLC: Cardinals, Royals, Reds, Indians, Pirates
NLE: Nats, Orioles, Braves, Marlins, Rays

ALW: Rockies, Dbacks, Giants, A's, Mariners
ALC: Tigers, Brewers, Cubs, White Sox, Twins
ALE: Phillies, Mets, Yankees, Red Sox, Blue Jays

MLB needs to add 2 teams in either central or eastern time zone and go to either 8 divisions of 4 or 4 divisions of 8.

Put Rockies, DBacks, Mariners and California teams in the West,
Houston, Arlington, KC, St Louis, CHC, CHW, Milwaukee, Minnesota in Central,
Divide up last 16 teams into Southeast and Northeast.

Boom, all teams in either same time zone or one off.

    I like it.

NLW: Angels, Padres, Dodgers, Giants, A's, Mariners, Rockies, Dbacks
NLE: Cardinals, Royals, Rangers, Astros, Braves, Marlins, Rays, Nashville?

ALW: Twins, Brewers, Cubs, White Sox, Tigers, Reds, Indians, Pirates
ALE: Orioles, Nats, Phillies, Mets, Yankees, Red Sox, Blue Jays, Montreal?

Well it's way better than that stupid "Cactus/Grapefruit League" thing. Grapefruit League Championship Series? I can't take that seriously, sorry

Dan Straily was supposed to be on the bump for the Giants but sounds like he is being scratched due to injury

Not sure I can stay sober enough for a midnight start...
