Cooks is an elite receiver. He had a down year due to injury. He is only 26 and can be a one year rental or you can honor his contract year to year which is less than what you would have to pay Hop. Didn’t like the Hop trade, especially taking back an overpaid Rb, but if healthy, Cooks will be great for Watson. Cobb in the slot or one of the tight ends or running backs becomes your possession type receiver. I’m excited to see this offense. It’s the lack of action on the other side of the ball that is more concerning to me. Hop will be missed, but he is older and slower than Cooks. Would it have been great to have Cooks and Hopkins, absolutely, but you wouldn’t have a second round pick in that scenario. Hop was virtually the only option soon as Fuller went down. Having at least one veteran speedy wide receiver on the field at all times will make our offense better this upcoming season.

Not sure if this was posted or not but I know one of the local radio guys mention this as well. It's for certain we got some clowns running this organization but the worst thing is that the McNairs have bought into BOB and his boy Easter bunny because for some reason they think that BOB is capable of implementing the Patriot way on this team except he has no rings to show for it. BOB is a wanna be Belichek except he hasn't done anything to get this type of power but unfortunately the texans owner has given it to him out of all the other teams in the league. Enjoy the circus y'all.

Not sure where you heard that. He said he talked to 2 NFL teams and one didn't think a deal would happen because the Rams wanted too much and the other wanted his opinion on what it would take. His gut feeling was the Rams would want a pick around number 60 to get it done. It dragged out for over a week and the Texans were able to get a 4th rounder thrown in because the Rams wanted it done before the draft.

Cooks isn't elite. He's an above average starter at his best but he has a mounting concussion history. Despite his talent, he keeps getting traded. He's on his 4th team in 5years, Elite WRs don't move that often. Additionally, you don't burn a 2nd on a one year rental, especially with the potential of this crop coming out. Between Johnson, Cooks & Cobb you didn't save any money by not paying Hopkins. That trade was about Billy Bob's Ego. But there are plenty of other concerns

Stills is an average starter which is fine. Cobb is injury prone, 30, washed up & overpaid guaranteed $18 million after two teams let him walk after 1 year. Fuller is injury prone & overpaid. Coutee is injury prone & Carter just stinks.

Duke Johnson is a 3rd down RB & is making starter money ( for a RB who doesn't run the ball. ) David Johnson is washed, injury prone, overpaid $10 million this year. David Johnson couldn't start for the Cardinals last year. Hell, he couldn't have started for the Texans either. You could argue They still need a RB. Which is amazing.

Fells was their best TE & he's 34. The other TEs are young & inconsistent.

Tunsil wants to be the Highest paid OT in the NFL & can't remember the snap count 3 or 4 times a game.

If the defense struggles & these injury prone skill players are true to form by staying injured ( or underperform) , it could be a long year for Watson & Billy Bob.

He was fine. That’s why he was sent to see specialists for further evaluations

He said on the post above that the Rams wanted a top 60 pick for Cooks. The Compromise was the Rams giving up a 2022 4th for the move up to 57.

Earlier in the week he said teams were offering a #4-5. I heard him say it on a radio station in Chicago.

And what did they win with Hopkins? Divisions? Y'all said those don't count. So, they are trying something different. Whether it works or not, I guess we will see.

You know when there’s those teams everyone looks at like wtf is that trash organization doing. Every pro league has those. The Texans are one of those teams

At the end of the day, Billy Bob's whole "I'm Bill Belichek" routine is ridiculous and hard to watch. His teams ARE NEVER READY TO PLAY vs elite teams in big games. They've won a weak division devoid of elite QB play & Billy Bob hasn't won jack in the NFL without Hopkins. But it's much bigger than Hopkins, it's Billy Bob's act as a whole. I hope they win the Super Bowl, but don't blow smoke up my backside and act like all of these moves are football moves because they're not. The math doesn't add up. It's about Billy Bob's lack of experience as a GM, no checks & balances in the organization & Billy Bob's ego being on steroids.

Probably the first team to do it multiple times( Brown, Clowney, Hopkins).

'Fencing posture' is no bueno after a hit to the head. He's had 5 known concussions already in his pro career, right? Not unbelievable to think he might get Merrill Hoge'd out of the League with his next one.

Used to be a very good WR. I wouldn't have spent the draft capital or the money on such a big risk now.

Why are you including Brown? He wasn't their best player and was starting to decline. Neither was Clowney. Brown was a situation that had nothing to do with Bill O'Brien.

Watt was the Texans best player when Brown was traded. Hell, you can say Hopkins was the best, non-injured player.

If the offensive line improves that would be a positive for the offense. Losing Hopkins sucked the way we did. Be nice if the Texans had a tight end that scared defenses to help Watson.
