yeap, that's why it's a big deal and a major challenge... hospitals around the nation need to start learning from the main challenges (outside of what's already reported) NY and NO are facing (o2, shortage of labor in particular those that manage vents) and beef up their facility and response capability
The UK is 2 weeks already in lockdown and knew for at least 2 months that this virus sends 20% of patients to be hospitalised and need to receive oxygen therapy. You are the one who don't understand the situation. This virus didn't start in Great Britain If you don't have oxygen then you have what? Nothing. Just tell everyone to go die in their homes.
You can raise pay, but you need to maintain the same number of FTEs (full-time equivalents) as you had either during various periods last year or early this year. So if you raise pay and have fewer employees, it won't be all refundable. If you raise pay and keep your FTEs, it will be refundable - possibly (but you're probably paying more in payroll than the loan at that point anyway). It depends on how they really define payroll. According to the nonsense that came out yesterday, if you pay someone $1000: $800 in take-home-pay $200 in withholdings (employee share of FICA taxes and federal income tax withholding) Only the $800 would count and the $200 would have to come out of your pocket. It makes no sense, really.
British PM Boris Johnson admitted to hospital for tests over ‘persistent’ coronavirus symptoms https://www.cnbc.com/2020/04/05/bri...sts-over-persistent-coronavirus-symptoms.html
That was the original prior to Thursday, from what I can tell. The final SBA regulations seemed to throw everything into confusion.
Get well soon Boris.... I don't really worry very much for the super rich and world leaders. They will have access to plasma treatment that the rest of us won't. Fat chance of the virus downing Putin or Kim Jong Un for example.
Keep your tigers in isolation y'all : Tiger at NYC’s Bronx Zoo tests positive for coronavirus https://www.wafb.com/2020/04/05/tiger-nycs-bronx-zoo-tests-positive-coronavirus/
Anyone watching Avenue 5? Halfway through, I've grown on it's absurdity during the Rona isolation Bill Gates calls coronavirus pandemic a ‘nightmare scenario,’ but predicts lower death toll than Trump Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates called the coronavirus pandemic a “nightmare scenario.” However, he predicted that the U.S. could see less than 100,000 to 240,000 deaths from COVID-19 before the outbreak is under control. Gates said if people continue practicing safe social distancing and remain in quarantine, cases should begin leveling off toward the end of this month. In 2015, Gates warned that a disease more than a war was a threat to causing millions of deaths in the decades to come. Since then, he said only 5% of what should have been done was done to address a situation such as the coronavirus pandemic. “It’s hard to put money into something where you don’t know if it’s going to happen,” he said. “I am sure after this, which is just such a gigantic impact, we will put that money in.” Not sure, how we get that money whe the virus spits out the economy after it's done with it.. Psst...hold off on eating the tiger.
Looks like another positive indicator today as growth rate of deaths declined again in the US and NY. For the US the growth rate was 19.4% yesterday and today it declined to 14.2%. In NY it has declined from 23.7% -> 21.5% -> 16.7% today. This was also the first day since March 25 that deaths from today were lower than the prior day. Hospitalization growth rate has also been on a steady decline in NY. It has gone from 15.9% -> 15.5% -> 13.3% -> 13.8% -> 11.3% -> 6.5% today
More felines. Cats, and now tigers and lions. Possible that the intermediate species was a feline? Who knows what kind of felines were sold alive in Wuhan's wet market? Leopards?
Yesterday, I went to hipster darling Trader Joes while donning facemask and gloves and preceded to load a cart and two bags worth of groceries to restock a month's worth of isolation eating. The cashier looked and passive aggressively scoffed at me like a weirdo. Guess we're all weirdos for now. https://nypost.com/2020/04/05/white...void-grocery-stores-as-coronavirus-hits-apex/ The White House coronavirus task force is now warning against even going out to buy groceries or medication as the pandemic is expected to hit a deadly apex in the coming two weeks. “The next two weeks are extraordinarily important,” White House coronavirus response coordinator Deborah Birx warned at a press conference late Saturday. “This is the moment to not be going to the grocery store, not going to the pharmacy, but doing everything you can to keep your family and your friends safe,” Birx warned. As the US topped 8,500 deaths and more than 312,000 confirmed cases by Sunday morning — easily the highest in the world — President Trump warned that the worst is yet to come. “This will probably be the toughest week – between this week and next week,’ Trump told the White House press conference. “There will be a lot of death, unfortunately…there will be death,” he warned. New York remains the epicenter in the US, with the state’s death count surging past 3,500, including a total dead of more than 2,600 in New York City by Saturday night. Gov. Andrew Cuomo also warned that the state has yet to hit “the battle of the mountaintop.”
Just another crazy twists for Tiger king season 2. Worldometer add a "total tests" category to their table, anyone here knows if their numbers are legit?.
Beat me to it. I just saw this. It sounds like some of the other big cats are showing symptoms. I wonder if house cats are susceptible?
