I was looking at retractable gates to keep my dog in the kitchen at night, and stumbled on a nice example of the utility of an Au Pair. Not only do they take care of your child, they can be relied upon to do simple handyman tasks. Dig this video with swanky music and filled naughty innuendo:
And if you pick the right one you can bang them, all for the low, low price of giving your wife half of your stuff.
Perfect opportunity to take away her check fir the week - thatll teach her to put holes in your drywall again.
Btw, I re-read this thread and it was highly entertaining. I wish I could 'like' my own posts. I ended up not going with an Au Pair. The main impetus for this idea was more for the cultural value and the value add of some housework. But my wife was sort of cold on the idea and our daycare for two kids is about similar cost for two kids for 42 weeks out of the year, and to be honest, it's a great daycare. My wife is a school librarian and home during the summer so we don't need summer care (although it would be nice to have a stay-at-home babysitter so we could leave for a day or two). Some of the comments on this thread did help influence my decision. The time frame is closed for an Au Pair as my four year old will go to school with my wife next year, which will cut our daycare costs in half. Although at some point I might hire a foreign housekeeper. I like to throw ideas around and let them percolate and get input from others. I love this forum because people from all ages and demographics post here. There are high school dropouts and there are PhDs. There are 'rich' and 'poor' (and vastly differing ideas of what that means). There are foreigners and rednecks. There are real pro athletes and real armchair coaches. Liberal and Conservative. Open and close-minded. So I get awesome feedback from all different point of views. (now that I think about it, there's got to be some money to be made from such a think-tank). I'll be sure to include you guys when I run for office.
Honestly though, if we guys had hot au pairs, how many of us would be able to resist? Would ruin a lot of marriages
Hot? Let's get real they don't have to be anywhere near hot...anything above a solid 5/6 and we are in trouble.

i have an in-house nanny living with us who takes care of my kid. altho she's not ugly, she's definitely not a fap and has bo issues. also i live in asia where her salary is so miniscule that an illegal immigrant in the states could probably afford.
My life has changed a lot since 2018. moved from Eastren to Western Canada's small town, I thought I will commute less and have less work load, more time for family and clutch fans. couldn't find any decent babysitter, I have tried all the available 3 last summer,by coincidence, saw my kid (3 that time) on his bike in middle of road alone Last January, I came home around 7pm, soon I parked the car, kids came running with their school clothes and bags , did you play in the snow ?, nooo Dad no one picked us from school ,we walked (~4miles and a couple of Street crossing), the door was locked , they were hiding in the backyard shed (25 degree below freezing) I made a change finally , pick the kids from school, they stay at my work office, we go home after together Covid-19 screwed the plan sponsoring a nanny from overseas here is around 4500$ monthly + separate housing, 9-11 months processing time I made a local ads, got an email from an Eastern European in her late 20s with cute generic picture ," I will pay all expenses, you just sponsor me ?"
have a good kolache dough recipe? I’ve been meaning to teach my yankee in laws how to make them, but I can’t get my pastry triangles I get here when I’m in Maryland.
Wenig Very very rusty. Me? Mostly Czech with a bit of Austrian - German. Texas Czech bands I am fairly familiar with. That is mostly what my parents listened to with a bit of old country (Hank Williams Sr, Bob Wills etc).
